Nayled It

Mariners dropped their July phone wallpaper and it's perfect given the "controversy" surrounding Tucker's best bud Josh Naylor.

SM on WWDTM

Stephen Malkmus on NPR show "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" this weekend. They asked a couple of the stereotypical questions that one expects, and it was a little like pulling teeth and a little awkward, but overall a good listen.

Stuff You Should Know M*A*S*H Episode

The podcast Stuff You Should Know did an episode last week about M*A*S*H. If you're unfamiliar with this podcast, they generally do a quick, breezy overview of often heavy or lengthy topics. It's not meant to be exhaustive or all-knowing, but it was a decent episode. It's a good show in general.

Off work early day game! M's 3, O's 0, 6/18/26

Got off work early to enjoy a day game with the kiddo. My wife taught me to keep score many years ago, and-though I do it very messily-I love it. Have been hesitant to post before because everybody's scorebooks are pristine and their penmanship immaculate. Current book is an Eephus League Halfliner that I'm about 3/4 through. The kiddo doesn't keep score regularly, but he can do so when a bathroom break is needed or messy food must be consumed.

Finding Phone Wallpaper

For March/April and May they've released official wallpapers for one's phone, but they're always difficult for me to find. It's June 3rd and I can't find one for June, have they put one out?

Guest Musicians on Live Shows

I know Branford Marsalis played with them a few times to great success, but I always thought it was curious that it doesn't seem there have been that many celebrity musician guests over the decades the Dead were operating. It seems like from the '60s through to the '90s people were always jumping on each other's shows somewhere, but did that ever really happen for the Dead? Am I missing stuff, or were they just so insular that it didn't invite such collaboration? I love the first Marsalis show, so it got me curious. For that matter, did Jerry or anybody else hop on anybody else's shows?

Gallucci Learning Garden is hosting a plant sale this weekend, Saturday and Sunday. They have some killer stuff that they generate, and all for a good cause. Parking can be at a little bit of a premium around there because of the nearby condo, but I recommend you attend.
