Question about fan fest

Hi, I will be visiting Toronto for the first time this week and am so excited to experience the city during the World Cup especially!

I have tickets to the fan fest for July 2nd, when Portugal will be taking on Croatia in the city. I see lots of people recommend getting to the fest before it opens, to ensure getting in in case it reach’s capacity (however it seems most posts have been about days where Canada will be playing specifically). I am curious if you think we should arrive before it opens if we want to watch the Portugal vs Croatia game there, as the game kicks off at 7.

Has fan fest been so busy on days that Toronto has hosted games that even if you want to watch games there that are later in the day, you should still arrive to fan fest before it opens? Happy to arrive whenever to ensure we make it in but I’m just wondering how the situation has been there and if you think we’d have trouble getting in if we should up at like 3 or 4.

Former Columbus crew player Eloy Room currently tied for 3rd most saves in fifa World Cup game ever

He’s having a remarkable performance right now

Edit: he’s currently at 15 saves- 2nd most of any World Cup game ever. One more and he will tie Tim Howard for first

Most saves in a fifa World Cup in a 90 minute game period!

Well, it’s about time I make a post here again

Here we are again 😆😅 after 2.5 years plus sober from a heavy weed addiction, dabbing from sun up to sun down, last September, I picked it back up, with a plan to use maximum a few times a month.

Fast forward, and before I know it, back to constant daily dabbing. A tale as old as time.

However, the last week and a half, I have managed to go dab and smoke free. The first day, I switched to edibles, 150mg, which with where my tolerance was at, did not get me high. I set a goal to decrease my edible dose every day. The first 3-5 days were really awful, almost reminded me of going cold turkey years ago. Especially making myself wait until around noon to take the edible.

However, I stuck to it, and now I’m at a place where I’m taking 50mg nightly, and have for about 4 nights now. It gets me feeling really good every time.

With the constant dabbing, a strong existential and horrifying dread settled over me, a feeling that would wake me up in the middle of the night, a feeling that would make me feel like the inhalation of all those dabs was killing me.

I still have a long way to go, and I fell down hard, but I believe that I can work myself to a break now in the coming weeks. Making the jump will be hard, but I’m taking it slow.

When I went cold turkey in the past for that long, I exercised extreme self restraint.

Moderating use compared to abstaining is a different skill I’m learning.

Looking forward to a nightly edible has been much better than numbing myself into oblivion with massive pen hits every couple hours. And as I’ve lowered the dose, my tolerance has dropped massively, just by changing my habits to the one edible per day.

Another thing is, the past week, I have also made the switch to nano gummies. For me, they noticeably kick in faster and feel a bit closer to smoking. Traditional THC edibles literally take like 5-6 hours to peak for me, and I often wake up feeling off even if I took my dose before 5PM the earlier day.

With the nano gummies, the peak is a little stronger, but I wake up clearer. I’ve even had dreams start to come back.

Yesterday, I realized I hadn’t thought about weed almost at all until 5PM. The daily anxiety I have been getting during my sober period of the day has been slowly fading, and it was INTENSE the first few days of this taper. Like it made me cry, about I don’t even know what.

I refuse to be a slave to this plant, I refuse to hate myself for enjoying it sometimes, and I refuse to give up, even if I fall back down.

I take myself too seriously sometimes and do not treat myself when kindness when I fall down.

When i went cold turkey 3 years ago, I would not have been able to make the switch that I have made these last few weeks. To me, that shows that those years of sobriety were not for nothing. They showed me how resilient I can be when I put my mind to something. Those years of sobriety I can attribute to putting me in a place where I am going to be graduating with an engineering degree soon.

This is a long post, and I’m not entirely sure the point, I just hope someone can read it and feel a little hope. The hardest part of making my switch to edibles was not buying a vape at the dispensary.

The discomfort that followed was intense and peaked at 3 days off dabbing, getting better daily afterword. It’s been about 10 days, and I’ve went from 150mg not getting me buzzed, to taking 25mg of a nano gummy and feeling stronger effects than that first day of the switch.

Now I still have a long way to go, I would love to get down to weekend use, or at least not daily use. I am taking this small win right now, knowing I have significantly reduced my THC intake and am hopefully saving my lungs in the process.

Who’s excited for the transfer window?

Loved to see them end with two wins (and two clean sheets) going into the break. Really excited to see who we bring in this summer. We will really need some momentum going into the second part of the season, our schedule ahead is difficult. We haven’t played many games yet against the top ranked squads.

[KCD2] I’m hooked

So for some context, I am not the typical person that one may expect to be into these sort of games. Games many here seem to love, (and for good reason, it’s clear they’re masterpieces but just not for me) like Skryim and RDR2. Games like BG3 and Elden ring have great reviews, but with all of the lore and magic and fantasy, I really don’t know if those games are for me either. I feel like they may not be, and my gut tends to be right with these things when it comes to what I assume I’ll enjoy.

When I was younger, I loved Minecraft and FIFA. Lately I’ve been more into games like Seige, Rocket League, lately the finals has been fun.

The thing is, I’m a person that loves stories and movies and cinema. I know I’m missing out when it comes to RPG games, and also more cinematic ones.

The past week I spent debating if I wanted to dive into a potentially tedious, deadly, medieval life “simulator”.

Let me just say, to anyone on the fence, especially if you have game pass, download this game.

I’m fresh out of the prologue and the world has just opened up to me. The possibilities feel endless.

I feel a strong immersion, and a strong sense of being put in a situation where I will have to compromise my own morales to make sure Henry succeeds.

The only game story I’ve played the entire way through happens to be GTAV, which is pretty crazy when I think about it.

I can say for almost 100% certainty that I will be finishing this game.

The immersion is unparalleled and unlike anything I’ve experienced in a video game. The graphics are beautiful and the world they built is so alive. I’ve always wanted games where I could enter every building, and a game where all of my actions have impact and meaning. It feels so real.

First time overclocking!

Completely new to GPU overclocking and wanted to share my RTX 5080 results.

System:
- PowerSpec G757
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7
- 32GB DDR5-6000
- Air cooled

I’ve been testing with MSI Afterburner + 3DMark Steel Nomad.

Baseline stock run:
- 8639
- 86.39 FPS

Best run so far:
- 9594
- 95.95 FPS

That ended up being about an 11% increase over stock.

Settings for the max run:
- +425 core
- +2750 memory
- 111% power limit
- Max voltage slider
- 100% fan speed
- VRR/G-SYNC off

Temps mostly stayed in the high 60s-low 70s during runs.

One thing that I noticed was the card became much more stable after increasing the power limit from 100% to 111%. That alone gave me a 150-200 increase in the score.

Still learning all this, but this has been pretty fun to experiment with.

Upgraded from a 4070 laptop… wow!

Feels like a dream come true being able to play games on max settings. Played some Pragmata, Avatar, and Expedition 33 so far and they are looking and feeling amazing in 4k.

Was going back and forth on if I should build my own but it seems like Microcenter uses quality products and I don’t even know if I could build one myself for that much cheaper with how expensive GPUs and RAM are.

I am aware that building your own has countless benefits but the ease of buying and using it was worth it. Connected to my monitor via display port and also running a long 100 foot optical hdmi down to the g5 tv downstairs. Can’t believe I can be running my computer upstairs while I game on my couch.

Holy shit.

I didn’t realize that watching TV can be such an insane, immersive experience. I have it paired with the LG S55TR and it sounds great! Not the best audio system in the world but 100x better than the tv speakers on the old budget tv.

Seriously, my younger self wouldn’t have even believed technology like this would be possible one day, especially for a deal like $2,235, which is obviously expensive but for the tech it’s pretty amazing how far things have progressed, and how fast. It’s still a huge purchase and amount of money for me, but holy shit.

The HDR highlights are wild, it feels like getting flash banged when there are scenes with bright highlights.

The picture quality is insane, and the difference between the 48 inch screen and the 77 inch tv is incredible. Such a beautiful TV that I feel I had to share my experience with! If you’re able to find a good deal and can afford it, don’t hesitate.

I originally bought the C5 but was able to snag the G5 from the partner store for cheaper than I got the c5 so I returned it for the G5. The highlights definitely seem more punchy and the color volume as well. I would not have paid 1000$ for the G5, but it is a clear upgrade to me. That being said, I would have been happy with the C5 if I didn’t find the G5 for the same price!
