Reduced service upcoming between NYC and New Haven on weekends between Sept. and November 1st.

In addition to the portal north construction causing cancellations, there will also be greatly reduced service due to demolition of utility towers at the WALK Bridge in Norwalk in preparation for the upcoming replacement. Amtrak has yet to announce the changes to their service, but it is greatly impacting service between Norwalk and New Haven at that time for metro north including two weekends which electric trains won’t be running due to catenary replacement. Those weekends will be Sept. 12-13 and Sept 19-20. Other weekends that will have impacts (to a lesser extent) will be Oct. 10-11, Oct. 17-18 and most likely Oct. 31-Nov. 1. Amtrak has not updated their schedule yet.

Flyover has been removed from the New England area

Not sure why, but I noticed flyover has been removed from my area in Connecticut and the rest of New England including Boston. NYC still has it

Just a FYI, RSN Fees also increased

Not trying to ruffle feathers or say leaving DIRECTV is worth it considering cable is still more expensive, but the RSN fee also went up significantly. In my market we have the Yankees, Mets and Redsox so it’s probably the higher end of the scale. It went from 0 dollars not that long ago to 17.99 when they first started the fee, up to 19.99 and now 23.99 as well as the increase in the base price. Shouldn’t be surprised, still stings.

Apple Maps causing massive battery drain on iPad Pro m4

Has anyone else been having an issue where if you are in flyover mode in Apple Maps, the battery drops multiple percent almost instantaneously?  I was watching YouTube and some videos, and the battery seemed pretty stable, but as soon as I switched to Apple Maps, the battery tanked like a rock.  I’m on the latest version with 98% battery health.
