The Irony of Anti's and how they wanna be victims and champions. (Discussion post)

Whenever I stop by and read comments in Anti AI subs, I always try to understand the other party's perspective on things. But usually just leave more confused and with a weird knot in my balls, as I read comments after comments seeing them bash people for using AI. But that's not why I walk away feeling weird and dazed.

It's the comments centered around harassment, and not the ones Anti's do to pro AI people, but... The comments they make saying that WE harass artists...

And that's the problem there, and why I feel weird and confused when leaving Anti spaces. They all agree on mass that we hate and down vote, and harass artists on the daily because...

They refuse to use AI. And as you can see here, this post from this sub, isn't being met with mass down votes or anger. But getting decent views and good reception. Not to mention I mod for a sub that allows both AI and non-AI work to be uploaded there, and many of the pro AI users could give a shit if the art is AI or not.

Again, I just... Don't get it? They lie so easily about stuff that's not true all just to create some... Imaginary divide. When many pro AI users don't care if the art is AI or not. Sadly when you view yourself as victim... You need a villain to justify your oppression...

I should've done my homework...

Alrighty gonna be a short post today but... I am lazy. Basically when using Suno it never dawned on me to go to YouTube, and listen to every instrument that has ever been made. Would've probably taken an hour less.

I bring this up, because with AI you can accomplish a lot of stuff, And I have little to no musical skills, or knowledge on musical instruments. So hearing what every instrument sounds like, and making a list of which instruments I needed. Would've greatly helped in my search for making an awesome AI powered band.

Funnily enough Anti's aren't so bad.

I've never thought of people who were against AI as bad people. Let me explain.

Yes, I am fully aware that people who are against AI, well, don't like people who use it and that's fine not everyone's gonna like everyone for various reasons. Hell I've been shat on by Anti's online outta the blue for simply engaging with AI.

And that's kinda why I made this post here.

The people whom attacked me via dm's for using AI were... Rather nice people once you got past the extreme ugliness of their character, which is pretty surface layer, but I'm weird so I'm not turned off by almost any opposition.

And normally like to understand why people either don't like me or my believes.

And that's the thing I wanna bring up here. Sadly people who are Anti AI can be pretty smart, and do have emotions just like everyone else. The problem here is how they express their disposition, when meeting people who use AI.

Cause even on my old account from 2014 where I was trolling and making homophobic remarks. Did I receive little to no, death threats, insults, and open harassment than I have now, for simply being Pro AI... Like, let that actually sink in.

Almost every fucking Anti either in sudden dm messages, or through comments starts off with openly bashing me and insulting me like I just fucking robbed them, killed their mother, or kicked a baby... Just for disagreeing with them...

I guess my point here, is that Anti's are people too. It's just they're so wrapped up in hatred for AI and the people who use it, that they end up looking like monsters they swore to fight against... But hey, that's just my opinion here.

Anti's and how they respond to an answer they never wanted...

When I first got into this whole AI war debate I remembered... A lot of pro Ai advocates told people who were against AI to:

Adapt or be left behind.

Now to me I understood that since it was like akin to "adapt or die" or something to that meaning you have to get with the times and see the trend going on here, cause AI is here to stay and opposing it or trying to tear it down seemed kinda stupid to me..

But in Anti AI subs, that phrase has now been turned into a net negative and is being used to shit on people who are Pro AI, so... Let's get into it.

A lot of Antis hide behind the phrase "Kill all artist" as a joke because people who use AI to make art with, to them aren't real artist. But that's a weak defense because even if you don't consider them to be artist, they're still people who use AI to generate stuff, so the insult there still holds weight even if you don't consider them to be an artist.

But why bring that up?

Because many people might make the idiotic comparison to that with "Adapt or be left behind" which is alot of Anti's are using. Basically they started this thing where they believe AI bro's are talking to down to people who don't wanna use AI as if they don't adapt and use AI they're worthless or something which is the furthest thing from the truth.

Yes, we do say adapt or be left behind, but that context there is alot of people who don't like AI tend to bitch and moan about how machines are out pacing them, and how it's unfair that people like, who I don't know... AI bros, can just spam out content leaving traditional artists in the dust.

And a fair response to that was... well, you already know but my point is.

Anti's have taken a simple response to their fear and concern about AI out pacing them, and turned into a false dichotomy (hope I used that word right) With simply adapting with new tech. No one is actually shitting on them, or belittling them for not using AI, and many pro AI advocates could honestly care less if you used AI or not. We answered your question, but apparently you didn't like the result's...

My small rant when it comes to AI music!

After listening to my earlier works in Suno that were ass to average, rarely making any decent songs that I would wanna go back and listen to, and collecting a handful of songs from others that are at least somewhat listenable...

AI music, just sounds soulless... But let me explain.

A lot of Anti's say similar remarks when it comes to AI and people who work with it. But to me, anything can be soulless, so it's not because it's AI made, but more so how copy and paste it feels. So when I'm listening to a song, half the time I can't distinguish it from half the songs on Suno.

But my biggest gripe comes from the instrumentals, and vocals when it comes to song generations, but to keep this short. Are not very good, especially when it comes to vocals in the songs. Like imagine listening to 8 different songs, from 8 different users, and each of them in 8 different genres... But the singer in all of those songs. LITERALLY sound the exact same way...

I guess?

After going through Reddit cause I'm too lazy to make a bunch of posts today. I saw a post in a sub that I'm banned in showcasing some decent art work with the title:

AI Bros wish they could make what we make.

Or something like that, so I just wanted to bring my thoughts on the matter to that post.

I believe regardless if you can't draw, that doesn't make the stuff you generate meaningless. Likewise to the people who can draw, your talents and skills don't make you better than some using AI to help them make stuff.

Now, there will probably be some opinions regarding what I said here, and I am open to any discussion or disagreement regarding my stance on the topic matter.

Is it worth it?

What happens when you have an abundance of gold and distribute on mass? Simple, it starts to lose its value...

I've been in a lot of Anti AI spaces and I gotta tell ya. It's too damn easy, man... Like, I'm seeing posts, comments, saying that we send death threats to artist in bulk! Harass people for not using AI. Posts where mother fuckers are inventing slurs for people who use AI, saying we're ignorant and can't communicate with people outside of our own pro AI ideology... Just, wow.

And theirs just SOOOOOOOOOO much content there for me to farm, but... After awhile... It's just starts to lose its value. Sure, I can do it, and if I'm lucky make a career out if it and even make money from it, but...

I just don't wanna spam up the feed here, or in other subs, with stupid shit Anti's say. Which is why I normally space it out so it's at least still somewhat entertaining and not the same old same old.

Suno's false advertising... Ads.

I believe Suno aren't using songs generated in Suno in their ads... Let me explain.

So if you watched the ads for Suno like, on YouTube or wherever. 1 thing you'll notice is they use the simple function on Suno to make a quick easy song, so what's the issue here? Simple, they aren't using generated songs.

I've been using Suno since the V3.5 days and maybe besides improved lyrics. The simple mode reaaaally doesn't offer an improved experience, it's just song generation simplified. And I bring this up because it was used in the ad, so... What the problem? Well, the song or songs since theirs a lot of Suno ads with different songs per ads. Are too realistic.

You see, in order to get such realistic vocals like those in the ads requires extremely good luck when it comes to whatever you prompted. Vocals you gave to upload to Suno. Or...

Using actual people to sing those songs in the ads, and passing it off as something you can generate in Suno. Cause realistically you ain't getting vocals that life like from typing in:

[A song about long flowing hair]

Not completely true.

X post https://x.com/i/status/2070469155195658299

This can also apply to AI artist too. But the problem I usually see with artist rather that be trads or AI artist is just a lack of marketing.

Like not having multiple social media accounts... Like in different social media apps, commenting on alot of posts... Stuff like that, and being active. Cause you won't build a name for yourself, so easily, just by typing out:

"Big tiddy waifu girl 4k"

And expect the follows and views to roll in. Not to mention people can... Kinda make the same thing you made with AI.

The Anti's and their funny ways, of telling jokes...

To me it doesn't really matter who threw the first stone or not, but instead... Why was the first stone thrown, and why now it's completely 1 sided?

To make this post as short as possible, I enjoy humor that pokes fun of marginalized groups, now before anyone starts throwing verbal stones at me, I also enjoy humor mocking white people and the like.

So what's my point? My point here is that I can take jokes that mock me along with dishing out offensive humor so it's never 1 sided to where only 1 group gets to make fun of the other... Enter... Like, most Anti AI groups or subs.

The first image out of the 3 was taken from an Anti AI sub where the poster and commenters were making light about the clear and obvious death threats to people who use Gen AI. And the messed up part here, is that I can take dark humor or edgy jokes as the comments in that sub are saying when it comes to online humor. However.

It's pretty much 1 sided so taking this seriously is next to impossible, hell you can even see it in the comments in that Anti AI sub/post. They can't hide behind edgy humor online, and then when mud is flung back at them, NOW it's harassment NOW it's no longer funny and NOW is that whole group of people dangerous.

But when they do it pfft, just edgy internet humor bruh, what are you some kinda pussy?

Do we over look the bad AI does? (12 images in this post)

So let's get into this. Some Anti's do kinda bring up good point regarding Pro AI advocates over looking or outright dismissing issues concerning AI and its effect on things and people and that is an issue that we should all address...

However.

There are some Pro AI folks who are also willing to debate and even admit to some of these issues that most, not some, Pro AI advocates don't wanna discuss. But sadly like the last 2 images in the post portray...

We gotta talk about the OTHER elephant in the room.

Anti's while having no investment in Gen AI can usually offer an unbiased take and can easily point out flaws in Gen AI. Especially if you're pro and just don't see them, however being unbiased doesn't mean you don't have flaws of your own.

The problem here, is Anti's kinda nit pick and also take things out of context as well. Infact I'm in a debate with an Anti on a pro AI music sub, and one of the many things I've noticed from Anti AI advocates...

Is that once they know your pro AI they open up with insults or hurling curse words at you out the gate. Not to mention some of them associate AI with retardation, homophobia, sexism, racism, capitalism, and even pedophilia all off the rip.

Now not all of them do that but it is safe to say it's not condemned in those spaces either.

My problem here is when Anti's make a very specific claim against AI or site something that's wrong. They rarely or ever look into those sources linked by the opposition or reply back. Often times bragging about blocking people who are pro AI cause we're all liars who engage in bad faith arguments.

So again, the first 10 image in this post that I downloaded from an Anti AI sub. Isn't really addressing the problems with Gen AI or the people who grossly missuse it, but instead just makes it seem like Anti's are the logical ones, while pro AI advocates are just ignoring issues and calling anyone that brings them up losers.

NVIDIA's MotionBricks Can Generate Character Animations From Simple Text Prompts

Creating realistic game animations has traditionally required hours of manual work, motion capture or carefully crafted animation systems.

NVIDIA's new AI research project, MotionBricks, explores a different approach. Instead of hand authoring every movement, developers can describe an action in natural language such as "pick up the sword like a zombie" and the system generates the corresponding animation in real time.

According to NVIDIA, MotionBricks is capable of producing animations at extremely high speeds with very low latency, making it suitable for interactive applications like games and simulations. While it's still an emerging technology, it hints at a future where developers can prototype or generate complex character behaviors much faster than traditional workflows.

If systems like this continue to improve, they could become powerful tools for game developers accelerating animation pipelines rather than replacing creativity. Will AI become a standard part of game animation or will handcrafted animation remain the gold standard??

Small rant series: 2 out of 3 Ideal server

So the ideal place for me is where people can post AI art and critique it, with a mixture of human made art thrown into the mix. Nothing too complicated just a place where folks of both sides if the aisle can commune... Along with a pinch of NSFW content as well.

I wanna either make this place that

Or

Make another server that deals with that... Maybe, but for now this place is pretty alright, got decent amount of views, fairly active users here. All an all not a bad place to hang out.

An art job (AI)

So it's no secret here that I don't post AI art here. On the rare occasions I'll upload music I made using AI and other people's animated videos rather that be made the trad way, or using AI but never really my own work.

So why is that?

Well it's because I'm not good at generating images... Because as you all know AI is easy to pick up but hard to master, and frankly mastering image Gen is gonna be a pain like it is now mastering music Gen on Suno, so...

If anyone's reading this, if you're good at image Gen, and whenever I get more money coming in, I'll pay you for your services, since I need art for a project I'm doing, that I can't talk to much about.

Violence, my favorite subject as a gamer...

For those of you in the know when it comes to gaming Valve released a new custom build gaming PC, however... It's priced well into the 1k's like, ain't no body gonna drop 1k or more on a custom gaming PC, at least no one on mass will, but I'm here to throw my 2 cents into the wind on this.

So the steam machine "allegedly" was gonna be priced at 760$ before AI came into the scene jacking up prices on mid to high tier PCs and gaming consoles, due to AI data centers needing a fuck ton of ram to help run those data centers... Or something I haven't been following closely into that

But the steam machine has tiers where the lowest is 1,050k and the highest being at 1.3k. But let's roll this bitch up.

Allegedly the original price for the steam machine was gonna be 760$ BUT we don't know if that 760$ was for the base. OR the high tier, most likely the 760$ was the cheapest. While the high tier one. Would've probably be in the mid to high end range of 950-999$ or probably 1,010k.

Alot of people are blaming AI for this price hike, and while there might? Be some truth there, at the end of the day this thing was always gonna hover, or cost around 1k to buy with or without AI...

u/atlasfrompaladins — 13 days ago

Burning down data centers won't fix this problem...

Alrighty for those of you not into gaming, that's reading this, I'll make it short. Ram, which is used in PC and consoles has seen a price hike, due to AI data centers or whatever buying up a shit ton of ram to help run AI data centers and due to this.

The price for ram has gone up... Sufficiently, and increasing the price for some mid to high tier PC, and consoles, and recently... The steam machine which is basically... A fairly powerful custom PC made by Valve, which is a company that like... Made a platform were indie game devs and popular well knownn gaming companies, can host their games on their platform. But they recently got into making gaming PC or something.

Anyways, The steam machine before the AI explosion was priced to be at like... 750$ but currently now it's sitting at 1,050$... So, let's talk about that.

At the moment The steam machine-

(God that name sounds so stupid sounds like a fucking sauna)

Has a few tiers. The base system which only has like... 556 GB of space, is 1,050$ while the higher tier ones, which has 2TB of space, is sitting at 1.3k...

Obviously alot of people who like Valve, and have been waiting for something like this for... Shit, about 25 years more or less are rightfully pissed, however.

Burning down data centers that run AI won't pop the AI bubble, and magically drop the over 1k price for a custom build PC back to 760$ again. It's just not feasible to me.
