Do you people really like CSE or is it just the hype that you people are following without researching? Like do you people even care about the curriculum, placements, internship, company that comes to hire from your college?
I honestly think most of the students just want "CSE" because someone from IIT is getting 1Cr package so I should also be getting in my tier 3 private college right? (whose max package wouldn't even have crossed 30LPA)
If you have a set path then go for it and it's the best branch for you if yk what will you be doing in future but other than that we get enough time to research abt that branch in a certain clg yet still people end up in bherr chaal
Have nothing to do and am just bored af🥀🥀
Can I get etce with my rank in any possible way? >!(Don't downvote me😭)!<
Any wp group, discord or telegram group for students joining JU in 2026 for engineering?
Is IEE in the Salt Lake campus? Do all the classes of IEE take place at the Salt Lake campus? Are there no classes at the main campus at all for IEE?
I have a few doubts regarding this college and I would like to talk to seniors in wp grp/discord
Hello seniors, I got a 31k rank in JEE Mains and I'm confused about what I should pick among them and whether I should choose college over a branch or vice versa. My home state is West Bengal, and I'm a general male. My doubts are - Is mechanical engineering worth it in these colleges? How truthworthy is CSAB, and/or should I wait for CSAB Rounds? The colleges I'm getting are listed below (please help).
Mechanical-
NIT KKR (low chances even with CSAB)
NIT Jamshedpur (CSAB)
NIT Surat (CSAB)
PEC Chandigarh
NIT Silchar
NIT DGP
IIEST Shibpur
NIT Bhopal (low chances)
NIT Jalandhar
NIT Goa
NIT Hamirpur
NIT Patna
NIT Raipur
Electronics and communication/Electrical engineering and their combinations-
BIT Mesra (CSE Possible)
NIT Patna
JNU (ECE and CSE)
NIT Uttarakhand
PEC Chandigarh (CSAB)
NIT Silchar (CSAB)
IIEST Shibpur (CSAB)
NIT Jalandhar (ICE through CSAB)
NIT Goa (CSAB)
IIITs-
IIITDM Kancheepuram(CSE,ECE through CSAB)
IIIT Guwahati(ECE)
IIIT Pune(ECE)
IIIT Sri City (ECE and low chances of CSE)
IIIT Kottayam, Kota, Raichur, Raipur, Nagpur, Una, Bhubaneshwar, Ranchi, Kurnool, Vadodara, Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli, Bhopal, Surat (all CSE, ECE)
On a side note, I might get Electrical/Electronics related branches in Jadavpur University

I genuinely want ECE or MnC, Mechanical is still good but not getting in top NITs. Are IIITs really worth it over NITs? And is Production and industrial engineering equivalent to Mechanical engineering?
I'm also getting MANIT Bhopal ME
