The implications of this chamber is pretty dark

Multiple mattresses, scattered clothes including two bras, fruits and wine, and a sleeping dart to top it all off. Not to mention that grim letter from the new Golden Cat madam(which I just noticed is a neat little set-up for the next mission)

The first time I saw this detail was on my very first playthrough actually and I immediately assumed that Campbell uses that place to lure women to sleeping with them and then putting them to sleep if they refused. And this was before I learned that he lures Curnow down there if we destroyed the two glasses (I poisoned Campbell on my first playthrough). That whole place is surprisingly well-kept for a secret chamber that connects to a small drainage system via ventilation. And it's adorned with all sorts of trinkets including the painting for some odd reason. I guess Campbell must've put them there as a way to distract or entertain the people he brings down there. It certainly worked for Curnow.

Anyway, this was one of the first grim details that I noticed when I first started the game and I wanted to talk about it on my second playthrough.

[Mobile] [1990 to 2005] A game that's very similar to castlevania

This game was one of those 2d platformer games on the Nokia keypad, most likely made by Gameloft. The game is very similar to the old castlevania games but it had a more urban aesthetic to it, kinda like an urban fantasy. I think the weapon the MC used had a fire effect to it, like a fire slash.

I vaguely remember our main character wearing some type of coat, maybe a trench coat, and he was a vampire/vampiric demon but looked human. He also had the spiky faux hawk hairstyle, similar to Jason's hairstyle from Far Cry 3. The final bossfight had the boss teleporting around the arena every time we hit him a number of times and we had to run around the arena constantly if I'm not mistaken.

I played the game when I was a kid so some details about the main character's appearance may be wrong.

Fan-made poster for DMC 6/ DMC fanfic "After the Nightmare" (art by me)

This artwork was initially inspired by that one artist that made those cool-looking fan posters for NDMC(I think his username is Silver_Savior on twitter).

I had a small idea for a fanfic that continues the story after DMC 5, hence the name "After the Nightmare". I haven't committed a lot of time to it yet, and it's lazily written, but it also inspired this artwork. I'll have to check the lore some more, and maybe even read Dante's "Divine Comedy" if I want to do the fanfic properly. For now, it's still on beta.

Its my first time making a poster so I got really experimental with it and the process was pretty fun. It's also my way of coping due to the absence of a DMC 6 announcement. I hope y'all like it.

(I also hid some details in the poster)

Burial at Sea was pretty good

When I first started getting into Bioshock, I saw some fans say that BaS was pretty terrible because of retcons and stuff. Maybe it's because I'm not neck deep in the lore but I didn't really notice such retcons. And maybe that's why I kinda like it, way more than Minerva's Den tbh.

BaS basically proved how perfect Rapture is as a setting for a videogame. It's not as unsettling as the first bioshock in terms of atmosphere but it was still pretty awesome. The gameplay was peak, scarcity of resources made situations more tense, the stealth was pretty nice too(reminds me of dishonored).

I think my only problem is that the inciting incident in episode 2 felt kinda forced. Like, obviously it was all pretty well explained but it's still hard to suspend disbelief cuz wdym she's the only Elizabeth left? And why does she care that much about Sally specifically instead of all the little sisters as a whole? I actually thought Elizabeth was gonna survive and somehow become Tenenbaum with how much she seemed to care for Sally. And the whole "remaing Comstocks" thing was also pretty confusing cuz I thought the ending of BI was supposed to end them all, along with the multiple Elizabeths. I guess you can't really end the cycle in an infinite multiverse.

I do like how it all connects to back to Bioshock 1 with Suchong, Fink, and the Ace in the Hole. I thought that was pretty cool. Seeing Andrew Ryan again was also nice I can't lie. But overall I still think Bioshock Infinite is a perfect lesson on what not to do when telling stories that involve alternate universes, because when you do it wrong it just makes the story unnecessarily convoluted and destroys any sense of permanence and meaning.

Those are just my thoughts though.

(Also, if you keep looking at the twins when they row their boat away at the beginning of ep 2, they actually start singing "Row row row your boat" which is pretty funny.)

Wip Devil May Cry fanart/fanposter

It's supposed to be a fan-made poster for a fanfic called "After the Nightmare". It's my first time drawing for a poster so I have some doubts about it, like the artstyle.

Should I go for a more manga artstyle with more black shadows and inking like in the first pic or a more realistic artstyle like in the 2nd pic? I'd love to hear some thoughts on it.

Also, I honestly can't figure out what type of pose I should give Nero at the bottom there. The one in the third pic looks alright but I feel like I can come up with something better.

Finally finished Bioshock Infinite

After finishing the first two games, I finally finished infinite as well and I just wanna share my opinions on the game.

Firstly, the combat is a mixed bag for me. I like how the game only let's us switch between two guns unlike in the previous games. The game made things simpler with the absence of different ammo types which wasn't really a problem for me but it made the combat a little bit boring at times. The enemies were also kinda boring compared to previous games. The vigors were also kinda mid, I think. I only ever found a use for three of them(possession, devil's kiss and shock jockey) and I only used the others for like one level before forgetting about them(I didn't even touch Charge and the Bronco thing lol). Melee combat was pretty fun as well. The tears mechanic was alright too I guess.

The setting is also pretty cool. Although I still prefer the atmosphere of Rapture, Columbia is still a unique and interesting setting on its own. I really liked the skylines for some reason but I feel like they could have done waaay more with Columbia. I heard that the devs were actually trying to make an open-world type game with Bioshock Infinite which could've worked really well in my opinion.

Finally, I think the writing in this game was kinda weak and all over the place. From the early levels, you'd think that the game would explore the darker and violent aspects of American history with its characters like Fitzroy, Slate, Comstock and the Vox Populi stuff. Bioshock 1 had it's political themes at the forefront but with Infinite it felt like they only scratched the surface and then crammed a bunch of surface level racist imagery for the sake of it. Basically it all feels unfinished or unpolished. And I think it's kinda the same with the tears and alternate dimensions stuff. Like the twins. I really expected them to have a much bigger role towards the end of story with how mysterious they were and how Booker and Elizabeth kept jumping to different dimensions to get their airship back(I really liked this particular segment though). But all that happened was basically "they were there from the very beginning". And it wasn't even a big reveal or a plot twist either, just a fact that confirms what we always thought they were. The character writing as a whole was pretty weak for me compared to Bioshock 1 and 2. Elizabeth's character writing was pretty good though it still could have been better.

And as for the ending, the way I see it is basically Booker ending his own life to erase the alternate timelines and essentially ending the cycle, bringing the story of Bioshock Infinite to a finite close. But even with all that it still felt unsatisfying.

tldr: Compared to the previous games, the writing in Bioshock Infinite is kinda mid and as a game it feels unfinished at times. But its still a good game overall.

I apologise for the yapping lol

Watching the good ending cutscene in Bioshock 2 be like:

So I just finished the game and damn, what an experience. I'll be honest though, the story isn't as interesting for me as the first game but it's good enough. Our character being a Big Daddy kinda gets rid of the thriller element in the game since we're basically a supersoldier. Dr Lamb also wasn't as interesting as Andrew Ryan or Fontaine. She talks so much but says so little basically. The writing for the villains and the story itself isn't as strong and memorable for me, and the absence of Tenenbaum was kinda disappointing. What happened to her? Did she die or something?

Eleanor and Delta's relationship was super wholesome though. I really like how protective Eleanor is of her father when you summon her. Her voice lines were pretty adorable, badass and low-key psychopathic at times. Her and Sinclair might be my favourite characters in the game. (Also, I didn't know that we could kill Alex the Great because I was rushing to save Eleanor the moment we had the key lol)

All in all, Bioshock 2 is a pretty good game for me, weirdly wholesome and not as scary or intriguing as Bioshock 1, but also did a lot of things right. Now, would you kindly upvote this post?

Bioshock 2 is just a Dad simulator and I love it

I finished Bioshock 1 a while ago and started playing Bioshock 2 yesterday. The Little Sisters in the game instantly makes the experience much better than the first game in my opinion.

I like how they have multiple voice lines throughout the game, some of which are hella adorable and some are just funny af. I burned a splicer to death with Incinerate and the Little Sister went: "Ooooh, marshmallows". Then another said something like:"I'm telling the others that I have the best daddy in the world." (It's enough to make a grown man cry). Its also just nice to have them around when you're kicking ass, drilling holes and blasting your enemies with all kinds of stuff. The Big Sisters are kinda scary though.

But I must protect the little ones. I must shield them from harm.

Blood of Sparda (and some friends)

I did the invincible meme panel trend with DMC characters but after Lucia, I just started adding the most random characters I could think of.

Also, I completely forgot about the dramatic lighting(something I should practice more) that the invincible panel had so this isn't as good as what I wanted it to be but it's too late for regrets now.

I'll either make some more DMC fanart, hopefully with better quality this time, or I might focus on the oc fanfic stuff instead. If I have time.

Here's my Devil May Cry OC

She's from an AU as the lore suggests and I still got more stuff I'd wanna draw regarding the character

I don't really make original characters that much but I've been working on this one for the past few weeks. In fact this is probably my first post in this subreddit.

I hope y'all fw it ✌️✌️

Devil May Cry OC Kalina

Been working on an original character in my spare time. She's from a DMC AU where Lady and Dante eventually get together after the events of DMC 5.

Creating her was pretty fun but I lost the motivation to draw more of her weapons and in more detail. I might draw her main weapon some more though., or just random DMC weapon ideas in general.

There's also other AU characters I'd wanna draw: Middle aged Nero, Dad Dante, Mama Lady, Unc Vergil, etc. but it'll take some time I guess. I'll probably start drawing her half-sister as well.

I got a few story ideas as well so if I have the cojones for it I might end drawing some comics as well. (I kinda wrote a short dialogue scene between Nico and Nero for the opening of the story.)

Anyways I hope y'all like this one. ✌️
