Practicing pen sketching
I'm a newbie to creating art in general, trying to get better. Any criticism is welcomed.
[actives] I just moved my monotub to a cooler room, good idea or nah?
So the colonization of my grain happened super slowly, I think because the temperature of the room it was in was pretty warm, like in the upper 70sF at times. I finally got fully colonization and just got it all set in the substrate. I started thinking today that it might benefit from being in a different room of my house, that stays much cooler (67-70F). Am I risking shocking the mycelium or is this going to help in the long run?
First time growing mushrooms. Do I do anything yet when the grain bag looks like this? [actives]
It seems the mycelium is very very slow to spread. The bottom looks like this, the top is still bare. Innoculated a month ago.
Pickled okra not full of liquid?
Safety top hasn't popped, just seems like it's skimpy on the juice next to the pickles from the same brand (wickles)
Today's garden featuring bugs
Honestly only mad about the squash vine borers. I've never been able to grow squash because of the damn things.
Also if anyone knows what the last bug is, it is on my eggplant. He was quite coy.
What do you all think?
I was never taught handwriting skills, just tried to teach myself. I know it's not super formal, but I'm happy with it. I often write lists and other memo type notes in all caps, and I like how it's very similar to my dad's handwriting. And recently I found that his handwriting is super similar to his mom's handwriting.
First season with Fuji waterfall hydrangea
I can't wait until it grows to full size 🤍
Is it a false widow? I don't have problems with spiders but I'd like to not get bit by a recluse or brown widow. Can't get a good view of the belly, but I'm not seeing an hourglass from the side view.
