I posted about being followed by a strange man at the store on my local sub and the comments are full of men shaming me.

Ladies. I am so tired. I posted about being followed in the Walmart, having to be escorted to my car by two male employees (one being the store manager!) There’s more detail that’s crazy and scary including him waiting outside the store for me. I also have video footage of some of it. I posted on my local sub with blurry screenshot pics and no real id of this man because I don’t have it! I posted just for women locally to be aware. I was even contacted by the Walmart Store Manager and this is being taken seriously on their end. But my post is full of incels and the most disturbing comments villainizing me and making this anonymous man, who very clearly intended to follow me out of the store after following me inside of the store, the victim!! I’m disappointed, disturbed, tired, and just need some womanly love and support. Thanks for listening.

Be aware of your surroundings, ladies!

EDIT; Just notice the grossest two comments were given awards on this post.

**Second EDIT: Men, this is not unique to me. Almost every woman who read this has felt unsafe like this in a store. Why are you so bothered by this post?? You need to do some self-reflection. Nobody, not even the weird dude is being harmed by this post!

***Third EDIT: I’m tired, ladies.

Look out for this strange man! This guy driving what I believe to be a white Chevy Equinox with an orange stripe down the passenger side (visible in last pic, far left side).

Long story short, after following me around the store and waiting until I finished checking out, he intended to wait and walk out of the store with me after a couple strange encounters inside the store. I did NOT engage this man, and instead flagged over an employee who then escorted me out of the store with the manager. He did not start walking to his car until I walked past him. (He also might have been filming me.) *This happened at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Old Denton on Tuesday at 5pm.

Ladies, girls, vulnerable individuals! Please, listen to your gut instincts and be so aware of your surroundings. It’s sad that women have to be so vigilant even when grocery shopping in their town.

BIG KUDOS to the Walmart employees who immediately helped me, knew what to do, and watched me drive away. I could go on and on about these two guys who helped me so fast when I sadly froze and didn’t know what to do.

Thinking of you this weekend..

Mother’s Day has become a complicated holiday for me. I lost my mother a few months ago, and my stepmother of thirty years unexpectedly two years ago. And I’m also a Mommy to two young kids. Just thinking of those who may have a lot of complicated or sad feelings this weekend. Let’s try and be kind to ourselves.
