First ever solo trip, Heres my outline. Please give me some advice!

This November I will be taking a 12 day trip to japan. heres how I see it playing out so far, its a very rough draft.

Day 1 - Travel Day
Day 2 - Arrive in Tokyo
Day 3 through 6- Stay in Tokyo
day 7 through 10 - Stay in Osaka
Day 11 - Fly home
Day 12 - Arrive home

Question 1- How should I fly to tokyo, and how/where should I fly back home?
Question 2- Where should I book my rooms at? I was thinking of using Booking.com because they came to mind.
Question 3- Where should I book my flights at? Im flying out of Detroit Michigan, its about a 16 hour flight.
Question 4- Is there any program, application, "Life Hack" ETC you use to simplify/organize the process? if so what are you doing to improve quality of life
Question 5- Regarding planning the essentials of a properly functioning trip, is there anything I may be missing?

I've never flown on my own, or even planned for anything like this at all, so any advice on flying and general planning would be great.

Is a travel agent reccomended?

Hello r/japantraveltips, im really excited to go to Japan! The only thing is, this is my first vacation outside of family vacations as a child, and this would be my first time going out of the states. Someone told me I should utilize a travel agent. Does anyone have experience with a travel agent?

I should also mention im going alone. This is my first time doing anything like this, so maybe it would be a good idea for someone knowledgable to help me with the process

Absolutely amazing album. Insanely moving.

TThis is going to be a bit of a ramble, but I just need to talk about how I love this album so much. This album is just the gift that keeps on giving; with each listen, I grow more and more in love with it. Its themes are insanely dark, and it resonates with me on such a deep level; it's almost a perfect commentary on the current state of the world (at least how I see it). Despite how dark it can be, the tracks are also simultaneously engineered deliciously. It's such a rich album; I could see myself finding something new in it for a good 20 or more listens, and I wouldn't even be sick of it by then.

On my first listen, it was the day before it dropped. I went out to the park by the lake with my Bowers & Wilkins headphones and found a cozy spot on a fallen tree with a view of the lake and enjoyed the album. It seemed way more lighthearted than what the daunting title and cover made it out to be. Sure, it had its dark moments, but overall, it seemed way more chill than dark.

The next day, the Friday Inferno was released. My friends planned a listening party; sadly, I had the night shift, so I was unable to join.

Set and setting: 11 p.m., my friend's car (with a decked-out audio setup), and a huge empty parking lot in a small town. One of my friends decided to consume 3g of 🍄 before listening to it. For each song, they would have a 20-minute discussion and deep dive after each track. I wish I could tell you everything they recited back to me, but they went so deep into the album's themes and samples that half of them were left in awe, and the other half swore never to listen to it again. One of the guys who swore never to listen to it was the aforementioned "astronaut," which makes sense because just imagine listening to "Acts of Magic" in his state, or "Father and Son," then learning the morbid truth of the sample... he says he doesn't regret it at all, and I'm still awaiting his report of his experience.

All of this discourse between my buddies makes me feel this disturbed yet intrigued feeling I haven't felt since childhood. It's a scary yet cozy feeling, full of mystique and morbid curiosity, very esoteric and disturbing, yet you're willing to let curiosity kill the cat. It reminds me of being a kid and being scared of something very out of my realm of understanding that I found, be it a scary video on the internet or a ghost story, etc. There's this comforting sense of disconnect, and you can always peek back inside the box to see what else awaits you.

Not to say the album is necessarily scary, though. This is just a flavor of the album that I deeply adore. I wonder if anyone else feels the same way or has a similar personalized story about this awesome album. It's going to be a classic for years to come, and I'm proud to say I was there when it dropped.

Looking for third places

Hello, I (20M) am looking for some spots in ann arbor to meet people my age and make connections. I dont work with anyone my age and on my off days I find myself kinda just drifting. Ive tried meeting people online (meetup.com, dating apps, ETC) And nothings really stuck for me. Overall im just looking to put myself out there, meet people, and make some new friends.

Ive lived in the area for about 5 years now but ive only just walked downtown with friends and checked out a few restaurants.

Let me know your spots, and if you need specifics let me know

One of my all time favorite vaporwave songs and my favorite slushwave song

This song melts time and puts me in a hypnagogic state. I listen to it at work to kill time atleast once every shift, such a beautiful and bittersweet song by telepath I just had to share it

Alternatives to these Pants?

Hello! I'm looking to buy some breathable pants for summer. I've had my eye on these Palazzo Linen pants from Black Ficus, which I plan on getting. The only thing stopping me is that I'd like to have some more fabric variety in my wardrobe, I already have lots of linen shirts. Could someone recommend me similar-style pants in other summer-appropriate fabrics at a similar price point or less?

I'm looking for Wide pants with a High Rise.

P.S. I'm very much open to buying vintage and used clothes (in fact, I prefer the broken-in feel to vintage clothes 😄), and always love a good deal. If you have any vintage recs, don't be shy!

Is my subwoofer done?

I just got this old JBL maybe a month ago, and as I was using it, it stopped playing normally and started just doing this. It doesnt matter if its connected to my reciever or not, whenever I plug it in and turn it on this is the noise it makes. I hope It can be a simple fix, if not then I'll just need to find another JBL.
