Things to do/see in Norway in May that a 75 year old can do

My partner and I want to take his father on a week-long trip to Norway. He uses a cane and has some trouble walking so I'm looking for awesome things to do or see that don't involve a ton of walking or physical exertion. My partner and I love to hike but probably won't be doing much of it this trip. We kinda want to immerse him in the culture, not just do touristy things.

We are open to driving a few hours away from Oslo, where we'll fly in! Not necessarily only day trips. We could book an Airbnb in another city.

Edit: thinking either May OR June.

Happy 710 🔥🔥 Quick Reference: Target RH percentages for Rosin vs. Smoking vs. Storage

Just a useful breakdown on how moisture content during the curing process impacts different post-harvest goals:

  • Rosin / Extraction: 64–66% RH (prevents biomass from wicking oil back into plant matter)
  • Smoking / Vaping: 60–63% RH (smooth burn, preserves flavor)
  • Long-Term Storage: 57–59% RH (prevents mold, minimizes degradation over time)

Think my peach tree will flower?

Looks pretty sad to me. It didn't flower last year because of the late freeze. I wrapped it in frost cloth this year when we got late cold spells to try to help it... it's a Contender peach.

Moody and beautiful

I really love books written in a stream of consciousness, that feel very real and not all fluff. Preferably not pure romance - there needs to be more to the plot.

Some examples I adored:

- The Secret History by Donna Tartt

- Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

- Hazelthorn by CG Drews
