The plastic hurt his wound more. The skin looked awful. He kept limping for a while after I removed the plastic. It was just an awful idea. Stick to the cone, and get a flexible and transparent cone.

I apologize if this post is against the sub rules, but I keep thinking about this post and worrying I might have influenced someone to try it on their pets. The plastic is harsh and awkward for kitties legs, it does not work at all.

Some questions on Shane

Last I heard of Shane was when he got cancelled by the Smith family, but I have been so curious recently on what he is up to, so if you guys have any answers to these questions I would appreciate it!

1- is he still friends with Jeffree?
2- is he active on socials still?
3- how is he currently making money?
4- is he friends with any youtubers/influencers?
5- what happened to his camera man who got him into documentaries?
6- has he addressed the Tati drama since then?

Thank you so much!

Update on the paw-cage cat: we ditched the cage and we are back to the cone! Thanks everyone for the advice

I made this cage around my cat’s injured paw because he keeps licking/biting it, and was too depressed with the cone. Is this a good idea or am I being stupid?

I feel depressed and overwhelmed with the project I’m working on. Could use some advice

I’m a data scientist. I had a team with me who were vendors from another company since we have a shortage of staff. The contract with the vendor is almost over and many of them left the project including the team that used to work with me on my project, and now I found myself doing this alone.

At first I was super excited. I finally work independently on this project which I always wanted. Claude just released Fable and it helps greatly to write my codes fast. All seemed like it was going perfectly well.

Then it was time to take my product to production and this is when things became horrible. I couldn’t link to the database properly, I couldn’t connect to the server properly, I couldn’t deploy any of it. And I started panicking. I spent nights and weekends at the office trying to make it work before the big CEO meeting. I kept crying in the office all day while I search up commands on the terminal. My colleagues would get me water and snacks and give me hugs as I looked miserable with horrible insomnia (they can’t help as we work on different projects and they don’t know anything about mine). I fell asleep while driving and almost crashed my car. I cried just typing this. It was awful.

It was all counting down towards Thursday (yesterday) which was the CEO meeting. I presented my project and it looked awful but CEO and executives were super nice about it, and asked me how much time I needed to complete the missing parts, and I said two weeks.

So now I’m back to the dreadful situation again. I really thought I would be free by Thursday and I feel like I don’t want to even look at the code anymore. Its the weekend and I should have fun but I’m just crying all day. I have such low confidence in myself. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I feel so so so depressed.

Does anyone feel like they became “girly” very late?

I’m currently 32, and throughout my twenties I never cared about my looks the way my friend did.

By “girly” I mean skin care, makeup, nails, shoes, clothes, hair care, bath products .. etc

I know these are not specific to girls, but I feel like I missed out on enjoying these things in my twenties.

I finally started putting time and effort into looking pretty, and I get so many compliments now and how much I look like I’m in my prime. When I look back on my old photos, I am shocked that I never tried or cared about looking nice. It is like seeing a different person.

Also I want to point out that I genuinely enjoy it now. I feel so relaxed and happy when I do my self care routine or dress nicely.

I feel like I’m late on developing these traits. I genuinely don’t know why I never bothered before. I also never bothered with boys either, but now I am interested and so are they (I have embarrassing stories since I’m just now starting with boys and relationships, but that’s another story).

Did this happen to anyone else? I’m so curious to know if any other girls were “late”, and if you know the reasons why, and what made you start putting effort?

For me the reason probably was that my mom never cared either, and I had no older sisters to imitate. What made me change my ways was actually Sabrina Carpenter, funnily enough. I was so in awe of how girly she was and much she looked like a polished doll, and was so confident in her looks. It motivated me lol

I must never again confess my feelings to a man first

I just did that and he lowkey berated me for it?? then backtracked and became nicer, but you can tell he was judging me.

I felt so so awful and became defensive and it almost turned into a fight. I really wish I never said anything, but I did learn from it.

Men are generally colder and can be way meaner than us. Confessing something vulnerable to them when you’re not together and they don’t owe you anything can lead to a hurtful reaction.

Of course there are exceptions, and I could be just talking out of the heat of the moment (my convo with him literally just ended), but I will share those feelings as I’m feeling them to other girls out there to at least keep this as a possibility in your mind before you confess.

For context, he is my coworker (I know) and we were assigned a project together for a few months, and I left the project recently to leave space from him. He kept asking me why did I leave and if someone said something to upset me and push me away. I told him the truth and he berated me a bit for leaving work over a man. It felt really awful.

How to strategically go back to being regular colleagues with someone you got too close with? Without having a major fallout or anything dramatic

Have you ever regretted getting too close to a colleague? How do you bring back boundaries without making things awkward?

He never wanted to truly know me

Why don’t men crave deeper connection with the woman they’re talking to? All he wants to speak about is mundane daily life. I have a rich inner world that he never asks about. He has no curiosity towards me.

I feel like I deserve someone who truly sees me and wants to know me. I’m seriously considering ending things with this man. He’s sweet and gentle and principled (and very good looking), but strikes me as emotionally unavailable

How to act normal around my work crush?

For several months I avoided him at work, but we were super close over text or calls. I think he hated that I acted like he doesn’t exist, and he started doing the same thing. Except in tough meetings he would have my back even against his own department. It is so sweet and I don’t know why I avoided him.

Then, my cat died, and during that period the last thing on my mind was the work crush, so I acted completely normal around him, which I guess made him happy and responsive. Then my crush was back and I started acting weird again.

Yesterday in a meeting I was asking questions and he was excited to help me but I completely ignored him and listened to his colleague instead (who was a man as well). You can tell he got a bit quiet towards the end. Idk why I did that, even though he goes above and beyond to make sure I’m ok in meetings and handling work deadlines (I create solutions for his department, so they’re my “clients” in a way. Whenever they get upset me he always does the most to help me out)

I am very responsive in text though, but I think he thinks I’m being a player or sneaky by flirting in texts and ignoring him in person. I don’t want him to think I’m texting other men in corporate the same way.

Last week I asked him to come say hi to us in our office. When he came I was awkward and not helping the conversation flow at all, and he left within 30 minutes

I also want to point out that I don’t he likes me back (yet). I think he just likes me as a person and a friend and wants me to do well at work. I want to advance things between us though so badly. Any advice?
