I got diganosed w oesteoarthritis in my neck (i'm 26) and i'm looking for pain management that isn't weed or more oral pain medicines. I cant affort PT and i heard about topical pain mediciations, will that work for the neck or only the hands and knees?

i'm trying to be visibly queer in tech fields and i know there's a lot of other queer bipocs that are either interested in tech or are already in tech & i was thinking about making a subreddit so we can all find community in such a harsh field.

are there good subreddits like that or is it worth it?

i have two external drives, ones a 3tb hdd and the other is a 2tb ssd. i was thinking of turning my pi into a NAS for my backups of all of my files.

i'm unsure what to do about the external drives. i was thinking about putting them into my NAS or my proxmox server but i've heard that there are disks of data corruption & other risks.

my proxmox server has a monitoring vm, a cloud service, cloud storage (like immich & file browser), hosting gaming servers, & media like jellyfin and music. i feel like i'm wasting 5tb if i just leave the external drives lying around lol.

i'm using my macbook air m1 to local host my models for now because i'm broke (def planning to upgrade later on).

i plan to use the model for coding and managing my home lab as well as learn. I don't wanna use too much AI in case it becomes a cruch but I think it's good to learn from them.

ideally i'd like one thats fast but i can have one version for non lab things and another for lab things!

the paper is 8-10 pages. obviously i would need to define solarpunk and describe it, is there anything i should include with the paper?

i'm doing an english paper and we're focusing on analyzing the writing and themes of them. the movies we specifically watched were all of jordan peele's movies and it got me thinking:

i see a lot of white people analyze body horror as a trans/queer experience but i don't see too much discussion of the racial side of the trans body horror discussion. i think it's important to understand and bring these analyses to a forefront of academic discussion. even if we are a "minority" overall, its important for academics to consider trans bipoc perspectives.

i wanted to reach out to you guys and see if you had any experiences or thoughts i can add to my paper.

i've been using konsole for a while because of it's copy and paste and simplicity but i think i'm outgrowing it.

i'm running cachyos on my pc. i mainly use cli for monitoring as well as sshing into my homelab and managing it from there.

i would like a simple and sleek tui/cli i was thinking about using alacritty or kitty but i'm unsure of fully making the switch. i know you guys here have a lot of cool cli/tui so i wanted some recommendations for software or rices!

\\- lightweight and simple but clean gui
\\- dashy compat
\\- option to make different users with different perms

i tried nextcloud before and didn't like how heavy it was. i used file browser for a bit and it worked nice, i liked setting it up and the gui was simple and understandable.

lately after being on t for like 2 months (i have had top surgery for years), ive noticed i've started to become a belly sleeper. granted im sleeping in a bigger bed than im use too so maybe thats part of it. i just thought it was neat

i'm using an old pc as my main server machine and it has a hdd inside and a really shitty gpu. now i'm getting into cloud storage and storing a jellyfin server, email server, website, notes, logins, etc.

i'm wondering if i should focus on upgrading the server storage or if i should start building a NAS? and if i build the NAS how would i do that? like what kind of storage should i focus on getting together? ideally i think i wanna get sata connected hdd/sdds just bc the nvme ones are pricey?

guys. i've slept 8 hours last night, i woke up at 11 and then it hit 2pm and i slept for another 4 hours. i've been napping so much more lately & im SO hungry all the time. i had two frozen dinners and was STILL hungry yesterday. this shit is so serious 😭😭😭 im a broke college student man i cant afford this hunger
