Ananya’s Nana Nani (Coimbatore) experiences/reviews? Are senior living gated communities in India worth it?

Hi

My parents, who are both in their 60s, have lived in the Middle East for the past 40 years. My father recently retired, so they are considering moving back to India. They've expressed interest in buying a 2 bedroom apartment in Ananya's Nana Nani senior living community in Coimbatore. They are specifically enticed by the safety and security of living in a gated community, on-site medical care and the pleasant climate. Does anyone know of Nana Nani? If so, what have you heard about it? Are there other options you would recommend. For context, they are Tamil and would prefer to live in Coimbatore.

In general, what's the experience like living in these elder care setups in India? What would you say are the downsides vs. renting/buying in a gated community that isn't particularly geared towards seniors?

Thanks for the advice!

Reception venue and catering recommendations for under 70 people

Hi,

I'm looking for a venue in Coimbatore that could accommodate approx. 70 people. It could be a banquet hall in a resort or even one in a restaurant (if a group this size can be hosted there). I don't care much about the aesthetic. Preference is for something easily accessible + really good food because who are we kidding, people come to eat. Since it's a smaller crowd, I'm hoping it doesn't cost more than 2 lakhs. Please let me know if this seems unreasonable for the area.

If you have suggestions for caterers, that would be really helpful too.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help! :)

Landlord wants us to buy and install our own smoke alarm. Is this normal?

Hi,

In a recent inspection, the company that manages the one bedroom apartment we rent, found that the fire alarm had expired and needed to be replaced.

They have asked us to purchase a replacement alarm (they'll reimburse us for it) AND install it.

Is this a common request? We don't mind replacing it. We can Youtube it and figure it out but we have never done it before and are curious if this is a normal request.

Looking to Start an All-Girls Book Club

Hey 👋

Would anyone be interested in getting an all girls book club going in the Coquitlam/New West/Burnaby area? I (F32) live in Burquitlam. My preference is to not focus on a specific genre as I'd love to read books that I wouldn't normally pick on my own.

I've been wanting to read more, but it's been difficult to carve time out for it. I'd love to create a book club that meets at least once a month to make the habit stick and maybe also make some new friends while I'm at it.

Hi,

I (F32) have recently started having penetrative sex for the first time after over a year of dealing with suspected vaginismus. I started with dilators and gradually moved up in size. In the past 2 months, I've finally been able to have sex with my partner without feeling a burning sensation or any pain. BUT, I'm not at a point where I find penetrative sex pleasurable. It doesn't feel bad but it doesn't feel amazing either. As of now, the only thing that's been able to get me to cum is my clitoral sucking vibrator that I've been using for several years. I'm also extremely sensitive to touch - for instance, if my partner touches me anywhere around my vaginal area, my legs instinctively close up so tightly around his fingers that he jokingly says it feels like his bones are about to break. But if he touches me over my panties, I don't react like that and I'm actually able to enjoy myself and get in the mood. There was one time when he was able to go down on me while we were both high, when I didn't push him away - we've had high sex multiple times after that but I haven't been able to get myself to that spot since then. I feel the same sensitivity around my nipples too. I reflexively push his hands away when he gets close to it.

Looking for advice from this community on how I can overcome my sensitivities? Also, what could we do to make sex (penetrative or otherwise) pleasurable for me considering how sensitive I am? The only things that have worked for me is touching over the panties plus a minute or so on the clitoral vibrator. My partner and I are worried that this will eventually feel monotonous and get robotic for me if this is all that gets me off.
