Hello! I might be moving from a nanny position to a house manager position and I was just wondering what you all would say an average wage for this position would be.
Its a basic house manager role to help keep the house running smoothly so basic tasks include tidying up, prepping/cooking food, kids laundry, and then probably some tasks like doing groceries, dropping off packages etc.
I understand the rate can be very different depending on location so if it helps, im in an area where the average nanny gets paid 20/hr and this is what they paid me when I was working as a nanny for them (but was lower than I was asking and they were unwilling to budge which makes me think they're expecting to pay me the same for this role).

What are peoples thoughts on using your shower? Should you refrain during typical quiet hours or is it more one of those things that you just need to deal with choosing to live in an apt?
I have terrible stomach issues and sometimes being in the shower/bath is the most comfortable place to be. I try not to use it between about 10pm and 6am, but im just curious what the norm is.

Hello! I had to share this with someone! This is the house I've been working on furnishing with one of my nks this week!! Im so proud of us hahaha since we had to use hot glue and shes only 6, I was the one to build the furniture but its all her ideas, including using the straws as faucets! Lol genuinely she's such a creative kid 🥰

So ive found that when I have time off, I never get the things done that I would like cuz im so busy trying to decide if I get a bunch of crap done in one day then have a day to fully relax, or do I get a little done everyday? Hello! I have such a specific and random question... what's the deal with people not cleaning the lint trap of their dryer? My current nf barely does but I met another one and when I went to clean it, as I do everytime, its just a habit, the lint was like an inch thick. Is anyone else incredibly frustrated by NPs that have zero clue what we do all day? One of mine just messaged me with instructions for his laundry to be put in the dryer... it is after 1pm, your laundry has been sitting dry in a hamper since at least 10am. Ive done 2 loads so far today, put away one, and another is almost dry.

He also thinks I spend "6 hours of the day in the living room" even tho I go outside with NK up to 3 times a day, including a walk, feed her 3 times a day, I often cook dinner, prep any unprepped produce and tidy the entire house (and since its monday you KNOW its a mess). Please tell me how this could be achieved if I spent more than even an hour in the damn living room.

Hello, I'm wondering if I'm overreacting about this... i think its really important to respect people's time and keep to agreed upon calls and such... a prospective mb forgot to call me the other day, took a whole weekend to message me about it, then didn't call me at HER proposed time (which was already an inconvenience for me and she knew that). Am I overreacting if I tell her that I don't want to continue discussing the position because of this? Or just say I don't want to continue and don't give a reason? That is if she messages me back at all... 🫠🫠
