Adult percussion private lessons in the Albany NY area?

Anywhere other than Blue Sky have percussion private lessons? I already reached out to Blue Sky and am awaiting to hear back! I’m interested in lessons at music stores or schools, not at private homes. Thanks!!

Percussion private lessons for adults?

You guys have been so helpful with my adult musical journey so I’ve got another one! Anywhere other than Blue Sky have percussion private lessons? I’m interested in lessons at music stores or schools, not at private homes. Thanks!!

Least played instrument?

Hello! I’m an adult who originally learned bass clarinet because my high school band needed someone to play it and I was curious if there were any instruments (that don’t involve breath work like woodwinds do) that community orchestras and/or bands are often lacking? I thought it would be fun to learn a new instrument with the eventual goal of playing in a band and/or orchestra. Thank you!!

Adult guitar lessons near Bethlehem?

I’m an adult who inherited her brother’s acoustic guitar and I’d love to take some lessons at a music store or music school! I’ve never played a string instrument but played bass clarinet for years so not a total musical novice. I work in Delmar so somewhere around there would be awesome! Female preferred but honestly, I’d just like someone cool. Thanks guys!

Adult Choirs Currently Taking New People?

I’d prefer non-audition or light audition, I was in choirs all through high school and college but have only been singing to myself the past 20 years. Can sing any traditionally female part plus tenor if needed, really looking forward to meeting new people and doing performances. Thanks in advance!

Community Bands/Orchestras? Non-audition choirs?

Hello, I’m a former bass clarinet player who would love to get back into playing with a band or orchestra, I loved my experiences in my 20s doing it! I’m based in the Albany area but will travel and obviously bring my own bass clarinet. I also loved singing in ensembles, I’m not the greatest singer but I am an alto/tenor female so if you know any non-audition vocal groups that need that, I’d also be interested! The larger the group, the better because I love making friends too!

I’ve been getting a monthly prescription for the last couple months through QuickMD and have had trouble getting appointments with my clinician between monthly refill appointments (having anxiety issues, questions about taking meds correctly). She cancelled two “crisis” appointments I made but kept the upcoming refill appointment so now I want to have a backup in case she cancels that one too. I’d rather see someone local anyway who I can make emergency appointments with if needed.

QuickMD - good for meds but not counseling?

Anyone else hate having to go through the customer service portal instead of leaving messages for your doctor? I’m a couple months in on substance abuse counseling plus meds and I can never tell if it’s a bot or a person. I’ve been told by customer service to make an immediate appointment with my clinician when having a crisis (which is what my clinician told me to do when she is unavailable) but my clinician keeps canceling the “crisis” appointments. She has however kept my monthly refill appointment still standing. I guess my doctor wants me to work through the crisis myself and teach me our relationship is just for refills? I thought QuickMD was supposed to substitute for in person counseling plus meds but I think it’s just a source for refills and I think I might need to look elsewhere to get both.

I’m getting a full mouth extraction next Tuesday. I have crowns on my four front teeth (top and bottom) but they are always getting infected and rotting from underneath, the rest of my teeth are either enamel less nubs or completely gone down to the gums and I’m so tired of years like this. I’ve been suffering through really painful infections/abscesses about every month for the last like three years so I’m excited to do this finally. Tips for smooth recovery? Anything I can do or buy beforehand to prepare? I’m going to be completely knocked out for the surgery and I’m only taking non-opiate pain meds afterwards so I’m going to have a ton of Advil and Tylenol on hand but any other otc med suggestions would be appreciated too. I’ll be using temporary full dentures right away too. I’d really appreciate it if you don’t share any horror stories, I really need as much positivity as possible right now 🖤
