Ideas of how I can make my cover more chaotic

As I've continued to make more spreads I've learned I really like the maximalists style. I found this page in a magazine I thought would be a nice back ground but trying to brainstorm ideas on how to elevate it. This is what I have so far. Thinking of using some letter beads to make it say "junk journal" and maybe find some ribbon I don't use. Any ideas? I like when my pages have layers just stuck on how to incorporate it.

Ethel Cain Nails

Reminiscing my nail set I had gotten for the Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour back in May! Wdyt?

My first ever attempt at junk journaling!

I have never done this before but was inspired to incorporate the confetti I had lying around from a Billie eilish concert I went to last year. I think I may continue to do this!

My interview got cancelled

I had a final interview with a job opportunity that was scheduled for today. I woke up with some major back pain and ended up leaving work early to rest before the interview. I took a shower washed my hair and remembered I should check my email. To then realize hours ago it got cancelled. I left work for no reason other than being in pain which could have been managed. Now I'm sitting here post cry session regretting my decisions and feeling like crap. I'm just hoping it gets rescheduled. I don't know how to move on with my day. I haven't eaten yet but I can't be bothered to figure that out.

What things do y'all use for body doubling or motivation when no friends are available?

I've browsed the cleaning, organizing, and decluttering flair for some advice and I noticed a common recommendation is having someone over to help or just be there like body doubling but this weekend my social circle is pre-occupied and I need something to get the ball moving on these chores I've been putting off and it just keeps growing and I know I'll feel better when it's done just need the help. What apps/platforms work for y'all? I've tried flinch and hated it. Tried the YouTube body doubling videos but ain't for me. Is there anything else? Please tell me what you use and how effective it's been. Ty!

UPDATE: I didn't expect this post to get this much traction but I'm very happy it did and it's very nice how many people wanted to share their chaotic ways to be motivated. I compiled a list of popular ones I noticed people were saying often or something new that no one thought of for future reference when you need a boost of motivation!

  • period piece dramas ( show or describe a LOT of manual labor for productivity inspo)
  • Focusmate (website)
  • Productivity Discord Servers
  • YouTube videos (specifically on the thing that's being procrastinated on)
  • Time lapses
  • Audiobooks(Dana K White was mentioned a lot)
  • podcasts/twitch streams/comfort show
  • Tada lists (list of things completed)
  • Phone call/text tadone list to a friend
  • Dubbi (App)
  • Timers/Alarms (a lot of ppl recommended around 10-15mins)
  • Narrate to yourself/fake vlogging
  • Flow club (website?)

I hope these unhinged methods help you as much as they are gonna help me. If you have more ideas that weren't mentioned or have a favorite content creator/author you'd like to share PLEASE. I love reading through everyones processes and thoughts. Thank you guys <3

"my 5pm-9pm after my 9am-5pm"

These videos are a humiliation ritual and aren't helpful.

My job sucks, I literally don't know what to do I could go 6-10 days without a day off and if I do it's one day. How am I supposed to balance my social life, hobbies, and adult responsibilities with such little time after work I can't just wait till I have a day off.

Adhd doesn't make it easier I'm already under stimulated and burnt out from my job. I try and have plans after work but it's so hard to even feed myself some days. I've become sick and tired of my job stealing my life I've ignored adult responsibilities to maximize my free time after work.

I've re-written this so many times idk if I'm even getting my point across I'm frustrated and want to know if anyone relates. Or what an after work routine realistically should look like.

Edit: it's either i do my chores or I do something I want to do I physically don't have the spoons left in my day to do everything. I either come home eat and do something social or I come home clean and shower. I can't do everything ADHD makes it feel impossible I'm failing as adult.

(USA) I got my degree in December but now what? I'm still stuck in customer service.

Hi I'm new to this reddit so Apologies in advance I have dyslexia so my sentences will definitely not make sense.

For context I declared my field of study when I took an AP psychology class in HS and it was the only subject my ADHD brain could remember and actually enjoy. So i went to college and started my online classes. Half way through my completion the guidance i had from highschool had gone away completely I was on my own with only one know goal. Finish this degree. So I did I was under the impression that getting B.S. would open a bunch of job opportunities. However the psychology advisors at my college were notorious for being bad. So I just literally did it with no guidance no help no internships no volunteering nothing I genuinely thought that if I just finished my degree that was it. Oh how naive I was. In my last semester it all dawned upon me that the job market isn't what it was you need a ridiculous amount of experience in so many different areas. I also had no idea what I wanted to do with my degree and I was confused when people asked. And it always changed first it was criminology psychology, then business psychology, then case management, now patient advocacy. So in my last few classes I was struggling i wanted to drop out give up the ADHD burn out was real. I already have a learning disability and you're telling me I can't just get a degree in psychology and land a job? I need 5 years of experience in a and 3 years in b and must know c d & e??? Yea I'm sorry but "entry level" isn't what I was prepared for.

So here I am December 2025 finally graduating with my useless ass degree with no experience or skills to go with it just my passion for the damn subject. So as one does in a panic I Google it. I didn't know what career I want I was so lost and upset that I chose my passion for psychology over something more job worthy.

It's now June and Ive been at my customer service job for 2 years and highschool me thought I'd be an HR manager or something but no. Turns out for my BS in psychology to be useful I need to choose a post grad path and get my masters and stick to that. But like I said earlier I have ADHD I can't just stick to one thing I fixate on all things. So idk what to do. I'm stuck in the customer service bubble because that's all the experience I have and every job I apply to they don't like that I have no healthcare/research/ or business experience. How am I supposed to get it now? I know I fucked up along the way but I was so burnt out and exhausted I could barely get assignments turned in on time. I was turning in stuff late getting by with a C and praying. So the only thing I'm qualified for are call centers and more customer service jobs. "Get a certification pick up a skill get ur RBT or whatever licenses" when I say I'm over school I'm OVER IT. I loved learning but I can't I physically and mentally can't ESPECIALLY with this current job draining the life outta me "sounds like you need to quit" I got an apartment to pay for if I get evicted id have no where to go. I can't even afford school even if I wanted to. I can't afford anything extra so I need a better paying job better paying jobs require more skills more skills means more school more school means money I DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS. So yea I'm stuck. I think I'm about to be offered a call center position for a healthcare place which will give me the experience I need but it puts me back to where I started 18/hr. 2 years at this job and I gained 81 cents ....I make 18.81 /hr I can't compromise that but nothing in the field of psychology HIRES FOR THAT. I made a mistake but I also don't regret studying psychology I love it I have such a big passion for mental health and advocacy I've slowly realized that whatever it is I do I want to help people just stuck on what that is exactly.

I have looked through this reddit it's all the same answers and advice. I need a remote position because my last 4 jobs I've been bullied and this is the worse it's been (targeted microagressions from management, hr ignoring my emails, coworkers talking shit behind my back) but I also wanna do something meaningful. I don't know what to do if you have any advice please let me know. Or offer a job I swear I'm passionate I'll do it my god this sucks.

ADHD rant sorry in advance

I hate that I have to spend money on groceries or food to keep myself alive it's already exhausting cooking and making food now I have to budget and hope I don't go into the negatives. It causes this weird issue.

I buy groceries and hate that I "wasted money". Then when I wake up for work I have to make my lunch I'm too exhausted and nauseous to even look at the kitchen so I just skip it all together. Then it's too early for any breakfast so I skip that. Now it's lunch I already spent money on grocery shopping so I'd waste money eating out so I just wait till I'm home. Now I'm too hungry that it hurts and I don't wanna eat all together plus cooking seems way to hard and the kitchen is a mess and I can't cook with everything everywhere so now I have to clean but I just worked a 9hr day and my chore chart looks at me mockingly so then I try and shower but I'm running out of time to enjoy the rest of my night bc my 9-5 steals my life. So I sit in decision paralysis for too long and either go out and hang with a friend or get online and play games till I feel I didn't waste my life away and go to bed at a ridiculous hour sleep less than 5 hours and go to work the next day :)

Idk where I'm going with this I wanna ask tips and tricks but I can just search that on here or ask my therapist. And I know I'm not alone im just annoyed bc I'll be scrolling Instagram and see these "ADHD girlie influencers" and think "they have ADHD? How do they have motivation to post everyday, manage social media, and do adult responsibilities?" It's a slap to the face for me imo.

I have dyslexia writing this is already exhausting hope all y'all ADHDers are surviving in this messed up world
