Am I the only one getting tired of how negative some kpop stans are toward idols just having fun?
I saw txt’s recent tiktok after their Korea University performancel thing and the comments were like saying they were “off beat", cringe", "hard to watch", etc. Honestly, I genuinely don’t understand what people are even mad about. They were literally just dancing around and being unserious for a tiktok.
I think some kpop stans have gotten way too comfortable being unnecessarily negative under idols posts and disguising it as “jokes". Because comments like “delete this rq", I’m close to blocking them", what are they even doing", or constantly calling them cringe don’t even feel playful anymore. At some point it just becomes normalized hate.
And the “professional dancers btw" thing is so weird to me because what does that have to do with anything? They weren’t on an award show stage or in the middle of a choreography performance. It’s literally tiktok. Are idols not allowed to loosen up and act silly anymore?
And before anyone says that it’s just sarcasm or it’s not that deep, I think people forget that viewers are still strangers to these idols. There’s a difference between playful teasing among friends and random people repeatedly clowning on everything an idol posts. Kpop stans act overly comfortable sometimes and don’t realize how mean their comments actually sound.
The weirdest part is that it's not just txt gets this reaction a lot whenever they post unserious tiktok. They’ll literally just be vibing and the comments instantly become “why are they acting like this” as if idols are supposed to behave perfectly all the time. It honestly feels like some stans can’t stand seeing idols having fun unless they’re being cool, attractive, or whatever.
Idk maybe I’m too sensitive but I really don’t think constantly mocking idols for harmless fun content is funny anymore.
