Miraval Austin July 2026 Stay Review
Enjoyed my Miraval Arizona stay in March and so decided to explore a different one this time. Miraval Austin feels more like a contemporary architectural style with 3 floors of rooms in each building. During check-in, the manager mentioned to me that even though the Austin property has the same last name (Miraval) as the Arizona one, they do have very different personalities, which I totally agree with. So coming to this property, I tried to be open-minded and not constantly compare it to the flagship property.
I booked the Austin Suite with SUA. It’s a pretty big one-bedroom suite with 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. I was in Building 1, which is located before the Arrival Center, so it’s quite a distance from the Spa, which is at the far end of the property.
Some activities that I enjoyed: Hatchet Throwing, Unforgettable Canvas ($), Wall Climbing, Leap of Faith, and Cardio Drumming. I also did the Miraval Deep Tissue Massage. The therapist was really professional and did a great job releasing a lot of my tension. They do have a Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room in the locker room. No cold plunge, unfortunately.
The breakfast menu and buffet are the same day to day. The lunch menu is the same, but the buffet is different. Dinner-wise, some items on the menu rotate. One thing to note here is that the entrées are larger portions. One to two entrées are enough for one person. In Arizona, I usually ordered 2–3 entrées to get full. Overall, I enjoyed dinner more than breakfast and lunch. They have a café (Nest Café) where you can get smoothies and snacks throughout the day. Surprisingly, as a Globalist, they provide one complimentary bar drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) during dinner per person, something I didn't have in Arizona.
I stayed at The Carpenter the night before Miraval, so I took an uber to the property and didn't have first-hand experience with the shuttle pickup. But I do know that the shuttle picks up from hotels around the airport. One thing is to make sure that the transportation/front desk team records your time of arrival to ensure a seamless front gate opening and check-in process. I did take the shuttle to the airport when departing Miraval, and their latest shuttle leaves at 2 PM. Also surprisingly, during check-in, the manager said that as a Globalist, we do get a 2 PM late checkout, but that's based on availability, so we need to request it from the front desk on the morning of checkout. Last time at Arizona, they told me that they require every guest to check out at 11 AM, but they are welcome to stay on the property until 5 PM. So getting a 2 PM late checkout before taking the last shuttle was nice.
Excited to try out Miraval Berkshire next year !
