Here's the latest production update on Shakti Shalini:
- The film is currently 85% complete.
- Shooting for the music videos is scheduled to begin next month.
- One cameo has already been shot, while another major cameo is still under discussion. If finalized, it'll be a huge addition to the film.
- Shakti Shalini is one of the strongest stories in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe and is directly connected to one of the franchise's most important films.
- Work on the background score, audio design, and VFX is currently in progress.
- If everything stays on schedule, the first promotional elements, teaser, or other marketing material are expected to start rolling out from late September.
- In terms of the film itself, Aneet Padda carries the story on her shoulders. The narrative revolves around her character, while the rest of the cast primarily serves to strengthen and progress the plot.
- The film follows a distinct tonal progression. The first half focuses on light-hearted comedy, world-building, and setting up the central conflict. The second half shifts gears into an intense, action-heavy narrative with much higher emotional and dramatic stakes.
- The MHCU team is also aiming to position Shakti Shalini as one of its biggest releases, with ambitions comparable to the scale on which Stree 2 was mounted. Expect a significantly larger rollout than usual if everything goes according to plan.
