Beach house on SF Bay - William Wurster Architect - Pre WW2

My photo. A friend's home that I have had the privilege to work on. I sanded that deck. Knoll patio chair by Schultz.

At the beach

This Basset had priorities. Sort of unusual for a BH to be a ball dog but it was only at the beach.

Along Hwy 1, a few years ago

This was across the Hwy from our house. If I had a photo/nickel for every time we looked out the window and said "wow" we wouldn't be rich but we would be richer

My photo, not my home. On SF Bay. I worked with my friend to perfect his place 20 years ago. He is still at it and I still help him occasionally. This was taken just as we were starting. We relaid the terra cotta tile patio you see with overgrown seams...edges, borders?

Frank Lloyd Wright Marin Civic Center Booklet

When I moved to California in the mid 80s I never imagined I would live a few blocks from the Marin Civic Center. I have been an architecture fiend since I can remember. I would spend hours in the library researching random metaphysical stuff on microfilm...just to be there.

Will and I used to play a form of dog/human soccer.

Will and I used to play a form of dog/human soccer. He stood in a doorway and tried to stop my scoring attempt. This was his favorite ball for a long time. He usually made the save.

Our Girl Harper Lee in 2012

She was the runt of a 2005 litter and had very short ears, a bent front leg but could run like the wind and was smarter than anybody. We had to bring her home when we met her and she took care of our next 2 BH after losing her brother, our first Basset. She taught them how to be hounds and lived to 12 1/2. Purebred Basset Hound papers. Genetic peculiarity and a total sweetheart.

Once upon a snail

Long ago a room mate and I had a few very large tanks. Big goldfish, and so on on...and big snails. So I studied them a bit and made up stories. 1980s
