Dirty pizza - fridge clearance edition

Dirty pizza - fridge clearance edition

Toppings were sliced beef (for hot pot), caramelised onions, sautéed mushrooms, and shredded mozzarella.

My original game plan for sauce was either gochujang-based or bulgogi. Found out we don't have gochujang, but there was half a tin of chipotle in adobo left, so I winged it from there. Mixed with oyster sauce, garlic, brown sugar and cream. Came out well.

Pho-caccia

Making focaccia using a leftover pho broth. Top with tons of coriander and garlic. Smell amazing.

Pho-caccia

Found a leftover pho broth in the freezer. So she goes into a focaccia making as a liquid.

Top it with garlic and coriander. That was a really good idea because it smells amazing.

Sandwich fillings are chicken breast poached in another portion of pho broth, pickled red onion, carrot+daikon pickles, sriracha sauce, and another slap of coriander.

Overall I enjoy it very much

Madeleines (testing a new pan)

Deep shell pan. This one uses up almost triple the amount of the regular pan.

Fifi’s gelato

Walked past the shop a few times and felt like treating myself this evening, so I stopped by.

Got a scoop of Jasmine milk tea and Rice. Texture was good. So creamy. The milk tea one is a tiny bit too sweet for my liking (my bubble tea preference is 30% sugar). The rice one is bang on. Not too sweet, and I think it’s a dairy-free.

Good size for a scoop and I paid $12 for this (2 scoops).

(Pic was taken when I realized I should share this place with friends and whanau)

Toasted ravioli

That is actually deep frying, not toasting.

Midwest game day staple, despite Team USA getting shitfaced by Turkey. Mine was filled with birria meat(that I have in a freezer) and Edam cheese.

(improv) Jasmine tea basque cheesecake

Cheesecake - Jasmine tea-infused cream. Could do more tea for stronger tea pronounce. And 30% of the weight is cottage cheese because whelp, I don't have enough cream cheese

Mochi - jasmine tea-infused almond milk with glutinous rice

Base - Coconut Pandan shortbread-ish.

I dreamed that my partner is doing something dodgy lunch

Wonky steamed eggs and a $5 bunch of chives.

Okay. I dreamed TWICE that I saw him making out with another person. I know it’s just a dream but hear me out. In the previous 2 relationships, I had a similar dream and the ex at that time, BOTH TIME, ended up cheating on me.

Now i’m spiralling.

Also why chives are so expensive?

Foca-birria

Experimental kitchen. Use the juice of birria taco as a liquid in focaccia recipe and snuck in some pieces of cooked meat in that too.

If i were to make it again. I would not strain bits and pieces out of birria juice.

Hot Cross buns cookies

I’m in danger because I only have 2 hot cross buns left in the freezer. These cookies are so good

Note: I don't have treacle, so I use rice syrup instead. In this case, I think the golden syrup would work too.
