HP laserJet lines and off-brand toner…

Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw
Purchased 2019. No operational issues yet other than below:
Sometime in the last few years I replaced the original toner with “True Image” brand cartridges which my research led me to believe soil be compatible. Sometime (I forget when) after that, quality dropped and it started printing with these lines to varying degrees. I’ve tried recalibrating, cleaning, factory resetting, updating software. Basically anything I can abs nothing has worked.

  1. is this the fault of the 3rd party toner or something else?
  2. if I pony up and replace with HP toner will it resolve?
  3. is there any non-HP, less expensive toner that is compatible and won’t result in this?
  4. is this printer toast?

Thanks!

Non-HP ink Q

Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw

Have has this printer since 2019 and it still is a workhorse. I only use it now for the occasions Amazon return shipping label or other….

A few years ago I replaced with off-brand toner and a while after that it has printed like this with these lines to varying degrees. Is this die to the non-HP brand ink? If I pony up for the proper branded ink will this resolve? I have tried any number of cleanings, calibrations, updates, etc…. I’m ready to throw in the towel and pay up. But I want to make sure it’ll fix it or I’ll just toss this thing….

Crush washer the dealer gave me…u

2016 Prius c 3

I’m skeptical about this fit because it’s so narrow and I noticed some drops of oil on it today when I changed. Torquing to 28ft-lbs as that’s what I’ve seen listed.

Is this the right washer? Is that the right torque?

SoftTop fin box/replace?

Low tide and rocks and my fin decided to bail. Soft top 7’8”.
What to do with these boxes to replace this one? At first thought it might have already bee replaced but seems like it probably was just reinforced with some epoxy or other? Either way it’s kind of a beater but I need it… Thanks :)

Quick link for old PG chain?

Old signal 7 speed chain and tandem chain on a ‘91 ish Deja-two tandem. The chains have plenty of life according to chain checker. Cleaned em up good and want to keep using them until I can’t. I bought the KMC quick link but it doesn’t fit. Is this shimano one the right one? Chains says PG-FRANCE- and “sachs” with a triangle behind it

Overhauling a vintage specialized tandem bike. Old derailleur hanger is attached by these two
…rivets?…. As they were, it had significant play; you can see some evidence in the photos. Whether that was design or time and erosion, I don’t know. But when I re-installed the RD one of them snapped (see pics). These things are original, like, powder coated the same prince-ass purple as the frame from 1993. Can these be replaced with some nut and bolt? Or can this only be re-made by some craft that I do not here possess?

Servicing the BB on an old specialized tandem. Park tool HCW-5 not a very snug fit; just loose enough to slip and start to deform the teeth of this locking when I try to tap it loose. How to measure to ensure I buy the right tool or is this the right fit and I just gotta make it work? Ideas?

Complete overhaul of a 90’s specialized Deja Two. Tandem. Got to the wheels and noticed these press in (?) seals? Also amazing that the rubber gaskets inside these hubs are soft and supple and in perfect condition… anyway these deals/dust covers spin freely but do not thread out so my guess is the thread arrow is for the cup and cone (which tracks) and these must be pressed in. Do I even dare pull these out or do I just flush+clean best I can, dry, and re grease?
