What money do you use to buy your spouse a gift as a traditional wife?

I recently am being provided for after always splitting everything 50/50. If all the money is coming from my partner, I’m wondering how it will work when it comes to gift giving. Am I supposed to use his own money to buy his gift? Or do you guys usually try to find money elsewhere to guy gifts for your spouse? I feel like the first option makes sense logically but also feels like he’d be buying his own gift.

If you’re a SAHM, how much does your husband who works full time/pays all the bills do around the house?

I’m just curious about what people’s situations are as a sahm mom is like with a partner who is a provider. Do you take on all the responsibilities at home because you don’t work? Or does your partner still help with chores a little bit? I specifically would love to hear from people who strongly believe in the traditional family/marriage roles.

Do you think nagging wives are actually being over demanding and bossy or are they just overwhelmed women who need extra help from their husbands?

I just want to see what people’s perspectives are on this! I feel like both sides would have very different opinions so I’d like to see what people think.

What does your baby’s independent play look like?

I realized recently I was doing independent play wrong with my baby. I used to let him play and i would sit next to him and talk to him about the things he was playing with but not actually interfere with the way he plays. I recently learned I’m not really supposed to say anything during independent play.

He’s 6 months now and just a few days ago I’ve started to sit there silently while he plays. If he looks at me, I’ll smile at him or make a face but not say anything. He seems to only want to truly play independently for maybe 10 minutes before complaining. He will still keep play as long as i acknowledge him and talk to him and sit right next to him.

Is this normal for his age or have i messed up his independent playing skills by always talking to him while he played in the past? Also what does independent play with your babies look like at 6 months old?

Baby friendly things to do in Dallas

I’m thinking about visiting Dallas with a 7 month baby but what are some things to do there for someone who has never been and is also baby friendly? What are some good sightseeing options that also don’t break the bank?

Financial struggles

I recently had a baby in the beginning of the year and became a sahm. My boyfriend and I have always split everything 50/50 so there was always 2 incomes. With the economy of today in America, it is a STRUGGLE!!!!! We are making it work because the cost of child care wouldn’t make sense with what I was making before, but we are barely getting by it seems like!

How are other single income families doing out there??? I know there’s a lot of people struggling in general but is this the reality of most single income families or just some of us 🥲

Also if anyone has recommendations on ways I can try to bring in income while I’m at home with baby, I’m all ears! I’m thinking about joining the Amazon influencer program but still doing more research to see if it’s worth it.

Flying with a baby and short tempered dad

The answer feels obvious but I have a glimmer of hope that maybe I’m worrying too much. Am I setting myself up for stress and anxiety to go on a 2 hour flight with my 7 month old baby if his dad can’t even handle a 24 minute car ride of baby crying without getting pissed?

I’ve been told 7 months is a good age to fly with a baby but I also don’t want to feel like I’m handling it alone if things go south and my baby is cranky while we are traveling.

Tips for traveling with 7 month old?

I’m a ftm and I’m thinking about flying to a different state (only couple hours flight) with my baby next month for maybe 3-4 days. He will be 7 months by then. Any tips?! I’m a little nervous about what to expect!

I’m probably going to get an airbnb because that seems easier than getting a hotel with a baby. He’s also not crawling yet but I feel like he might be by the time we plan to travel.

Tips too on if he happens to be teething during the trip too are appreciated! I can see come teeth through his gums right now but they haven’t came out yet.
