Cat sitting during Diwali - Greater Noida/Noida

Hello

Are there any cat sitters here on the subreddit or someone who would be open to baby sit my 9 yr old cat June

**#Meet June:**

• June is a 9yr 3 months old calico cat & is fairly independent. She enjoys human company & her me time. Not aggressive & because she is a fatso, she won’t chase (you can try though)

• She sleeps for most part of the day & likes to sleep at different spots in the house but her favourite are the hammock and at the top of the refrigerator

**#The JD for this role:**

• Daily availability from 31.10.26 to 11.11.26

• Visit twice a day and fill her bowl (will let you know what she eats)

• Send daily updates and photographic evidence that the queen is alive, fed and continuing to do absolutely nothing productive

• Scoop the litter once in 2 days

• Spend time with her or just have a laid back day. June appreciates company

• Be mindful of the main door. June isn’t an escape artist, but she’s strictly an indoor cat and I’d like to keep it that way

**#Perks of being June’s temporary human**

• You’ll have access to the house during these dates, so there’s no need to awkwardly sit around watching a cat sleep

• The apartment is on the 21st floor and comes with:
High-speed internet and a study with a proper workstation, if you want to work remotely

• A television with a soundbar, with most streaming subscriptions, including Crunchyroll, for people with cultured taste in entertainment

• A treadmill, free weights and kettlebells, should watching June’s sedentary lifestyle inspire you to make better choices

• A fully equipped kitchen with an air fryer, microwave and toaster. Feel free to make yourself something, use anything from the refrigerator or order in

• Board games and manga

• House help who visits once during the day

**#A note on privacy:**

There’s CCTV in the living room, but none in the bedroom or study. Mentioning this upfront so everyone’s comfortable

**#The ideal baby sitter for June:**

• Someone who genuinely understands and loves cats

• Knows that feeding a cat on time isn’t an optional

• Respects the home they’re being welcomed into

• You don’t need to entertain June around the clock. She’s perfectly capable of ignoring you for hours. Just make sure she’s fed, comfortable, safe and has a little human company

**#Compensation:**

Please DM me with your daily charges and how much time that includes. Happy to discuss an arrangement that works for both of us

Hello

The following items are up for sale as we’d be moving out

  1. Solid wood bed with storage + Coir Mattress - 7.5K

  2. Desert Cooler - Bajaj 90L with ice chamber - 5K

Few pointers:

a) The bed has been with us for quite some years and has served us well. The sliding panels on the side need to be fixed. The headboard can be attached or kept the way it is. The mattress is an ortho coir mattress

b) You’ll need to arrange the pickup

Electricity situation Morjim to Mandrem

Hello, what is the usual electricity situation in Morjim to Ashwem during November/December

Is it wise to take an accommodation which has no power backup ? This is for two people and a senior dog

We are looking for a private villa or a cabin which has a kitchen where we can make meals for our pet & also has a courtyard where he can rest and play. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated

Good pet friendly Locality/Society

Hello

I’ll be moving to Bengaluru by September & my work place would be in Sahakar Nagar. My partner (SE asian) would move in the next six months & her workplace would be Manyata Tech Park

Would appreciate some inputs about some good, clean & green localities/societies which would be closer to either of our places of work & are pet friendly (we have a senior dog and a senior cat). Also we both are queer & in our 40s, unmarried, so does it get challenging to get a house ?

Thanks !!

Ha Giang Loop bike rental & route

Hello

I (41M) and my partner (46F) plan to do the Ha Giang loop in November

We have done Ladakh and both of us ride 350-450 cc bike on a regular basis & would be travelling with our driver’s license and the International Driver Permit

I needed some practical advice from people who have chosen to do the loop all by themselves

  1. Is Indian IDP valid for renting a 125cc+ bike? (Already answered by many. Thanks. It sadly doesn’t). Recommend any turnaround/alternatives

  2. What are some good trusted motorbike rental places?

  3. What kind of bike works on this route?

  4. What do they keep as a deposit? Is there a place which takes cash as deposit because i have heard that they take passport or license as a deposit.

  5. Are there alternative routes? And is Ma Pi Leng Pass worth the inclusion ?

  6. We prefer quiet locations & so should we book accommodation in advance or it’s easy to find accommodation at that time ?

  7. Anything else we should keep in mind viz, permit, safety, insurance while doing this loop ?

Gracias

Avoid DHOBILITE if you care for your fabrics

Avoid DHOBILITE, if you care about your expensive fabrics !!

I gave them a woven jute carpet worth ₹14,000 for cleaning. What I got back was a damaged carpet with threads broken and pulled out at multiple places. Their pricing is premium and charged by square foot, which I agreed to without hesitation, yet nobody bothered to communicate that they were unequipped to handle a delicate weave like this !!

This wasn’t normal wear and tear. The carpet has survived repeated cleaning with my Dyson vacuum without a single thread coming loose, but one wash with them and the fabric integrity was destroyed

What made the experience worse was the complete lack of accountability. Their customer care is pathetic, the franchise outlet simply says “this is a factory issue,” and the so-called compensation is pushed into a DHOBILITE wallet instead of an actual resolution. Refuse that, and communication stops altogether !!

If your fabrics are expensive, delicate or sentimental, stay away from DHOBILITE

If anyone has any leads for filing a case with the consumer court, please DM
