Unique Korean under-eye patch review

Korean eye patches are everywhere right now. I love buying the ones that look interesting and actually testing them out, and honestly some of them are still pretty solid.

Here are a few unique or effective ones I’ve tried recently!

  1. Dr.Melaxin Calcium Volume Under Eye Patches
These have calcium in them. Apparently calcium isn’t just for eating. When it’s in skincare it can help with skin regeneration and barrier recovery. The effects aren’t crazy dramatic, but the cooling feels nice and they seem pretty good for sunken under-eyes.

  2. EIOM Botide Under Eye Patches
These caught my attention because they claim to have 20 different peptides. They also have this “Botide” ingredient which is supposedly a botox-based peptide. When I actually used them the plumping effect was pretty immediate. They’re not irritating at all, so I stick them under my eyes during the day and then use them on my neck lines or smile lines at night. This is the one I’ve been reaching for the most lately.

  3. MEDIHEAL Retinol Collagen Capsule Eye Patches
Most eye patches only cover a tiny area which always feels a bit disappointing. These are bigger so they can cover a wider zone. They have retinol, collagen, and caffeine, but they’re surprisingly gentle. No typical retinol irritation at all.

Anyone else tried any of these? Or got other Korean eye patch recs that actually work?

What magnesium are we all taking?

I had the gnarliest Charley horses when I was pregnant with my first so I’ve been preemptively taking magnesium every night to prevent it with my second and it’s actually been helping a ton. However, the kind I take is in powder form and it tastes like straight up semen. Listen… I’ll do it for my husband but I won’t and can’t do it every night.

So, those of you that also take a magnesium supplement, which one are you taking and do you recommend it? Please share!!

Clean mascara vs dramatic mascara. Which one suits me better?

I was talking with a friend and we realized how split people are on clean vs dramatic mascara, so I’m curious what you guys think too.

The top photo is my usual go-to look. I’m definitely a heavy, dramatic mascara person. But my friend keeps saying the clean look suits me better.

Today I tried the one she recommended and did the bottom photo. Looking at them side by side… the clean one actually looks kind of nice on me too lol.
Which one do you think suits me more?

Technically this is a salad if I add enough veg right?

I’ve been eating super clean and healthy for a while and finally snapped lol. But as a dieter I still tried to keep some dignity so I grabbed the non-fried Shin Ramyun noodles.

Only 340 calories and I loaded it with a ridiculous amount of spinach, mushrooms, green onions, the whole veggie party. Does this count as a somewhat healthy meal? Can I feel a little less guilty? (currently deep in self-justification mode)

I’ve been eating so bland lately that even this level of spice hit different. One sip of the broth and it felt like my brain came back to life.

Anyone else have sneaky little hacks when you’re on a diet but the ramen craving is too strong? Drop them please 😂

After trying almost every Biodance mask, here's who I think each one is for

The reviews for Biodance masks are seriously all over the place lol. Some people call the pink one life-changing, others say they barely feel anything, and some swear the blue is way better.

I’m a total skincare nerd so making these comparison posts and chatting with you guys is actually one of my favorite things to do after work. Not a NEET, I promise!
I just a fun hobby after clocking out 😂

I’ve tried pretty much every Biodance mask out there, and after testing them all, I finally get why opinions are so split. Each one feels pretty different depending on your skin.

Pink
This one shines when your skin feels dry and tired. It gives you both hydration and that bouncy, plump feeling. I always reach for it before important days or events.

Blue
My favorite when my skin is irritated or red. It’s super calming and feels the most hydrating to me. Perfect for days when my skin is acting up.

Green
Great when you have breakouts or your skin feels unstable. It soothes without feeling heavy at all. I end up using this the most during summer.

Purple
This has the strongest moisturizing power. My skin looks plumper and glowier the next day. It’s currently the one I reach for the most.

Bottom line: it really depends on what your skin needs at the moment. Blindly following the hype without thinking about your skin type can actually make things worse.
If you’ve tried different Biodance masks, what’s been your experience?

My Summer Daily Body Care Items

Here’s what I use a lot during summer!
I've been wanting to try more cooling products with mint in them, so I'd love some recommendations!!!

  1. Himalaya Pink Salt Scrub Body Wash
With all the tank tops and swimsuits I’ve been wearing, I started noticing my skin getting a bit rough and flaky. So I’ve been using this as my everyday body wash. It’s gentle and the scent is really nice.

  2. Trader Joe’s Body Serum
This has been a game changer for summer. The texture is super lightweight, so it absorbs right away after showering without any greasy feeling. Perfect when it’s hot out.

  3. Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter
This gives solid hydration but still feels light. It doesn’t leave any sticky or slippery residue, which I love in the summer. Plus the fresh citrus scent matches the season so well.

What are you guys using for body care this summer?

Pregnancy nose moms please come to the stand

My nose DOUBLED in size when I was pregnant with my daughter. I can’t even look at photos of myself from back then without immediately zeroing in on my huge honker.

Three years later, I would say it’s shrunken down to its normal size for the most part… although some days my nose does look bigger than it used to before. I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with a boy and am waiting for the inevitable day that my nose starts growing along with my belly.

If you had pregnancy nose in one of your pregnancies, did you have it again in your next?? Can I hold onto hope that I won’t get pregnancy nose this time around?!
