i spend all day convincing people to buy things and now i'm too tired to buy anything

people in ecommerce always seem busy. I don’t want to work anymore.

we’ve already started preparing for the big sales, which means my days are basically product lists, deal sheets, and a hundred tiny things that somehow all feel urgent.

I used to love shopping online. I’d compare prices, read reviews, figure out which paper towels were stronger, which shampoo smelled better, and which one gave you more for the money. honestly, I enjoyed it.

but lately I’ve realized buying things is kind of a hidden form of labor. even when it’s for yourself, there’s still all this comparing, calculating, and worrying about whether you’re wasting money.

it gets exhausting. I’m always thinking practical, practical, practical, and somehow forgetting what I actually want.

a while ago I bought a divoom pixel frame for my desk. definitely not the most useful thing I own, but it looks cool, cycles through photos, and makes me happy every time I notice it.

maybe that’s enough. not everything has to save time or solve a problem. sometimes a small thing making you feel good for five minutes is already worth it.

anyway, still waiting for the job where I work one day and get paid for the whole month. currently dreaming.lol

What keeps people chasing on Boxed.gg?

Tried a few online platforms but most feel repetitive after a while. Curious what actually makes Boxed.gg different for long-term users.

Does mesh actually stop back sweat for 8hr WFH shifts?

Been doing 8hr+ WFH days on a faux leather chair for about a year. By lunch my back is basically a swamp. kept seeing mesh recommended for breathability but also heard its overhyped.

Sat in a friends nouhaus ergo3d for a full workday and the mesh back definately felt less sticky. but that was just one day. For anyone who switched to mesh long term, does it actually stay cooler through summer or does it just trap sweat differently?

Is there a way to *jailbreak* a monitor's refresh rate?

Just got an 24' Expose Monitor delivered today. Since I'm on a budget it has a 75hz rate, and is there a way to increase the maximum to 100hz or something suitable for FPS gaming? Is there options like replacing the hardware or adjusting the NVIDIA settings?
