My sort of old guns

1990s glock 17 gen2 LEO trade in

1970s s&w model 60 no dash

Unknown production date but not in production anymore, s&w m&p bodyguard 380

None are the newest or the most feature rich but that's why I like them. Simple, serves a purpose, quality materials, some history to them

People rag on the bodyguard but I like it... Better as a pure pocket pistol compared to the 2.0

EDC minus wallet, phone and keys. Flashlight either in my day bag or work my uniform breast pocket

Open to suggestions for cheap, tiny little flashlights for my keychain or pocket.

Smith and Wesson Model 60 no dash, made late 1976 or 1977. Stainless steel. The previous owner bobbed the hammer. I put the old school wood grips and Tyler T grip adapter on there. I have carried small autos and such, I like it all, but I feel the best with a snubby 38.

Mika's Pocket Holster. Took like 6 months to get, for another gun I no longer have (new production revolvers are hit or miss with issues). Works perfect for this, can reholster while still in my pocket.

Old Barlow knife. Serves my purposes of cutting tape and cardboard. I have a couple, I like old retro american made pocket knives. Any tips on getting rust off?

Speed strip with extra ammo... Yes its standard pressure 158 gr semi wadcutters. Yes i have +p ammo and have shot it. But between the expense of training and not shooting point of aim I am preferring to carry the standard pressure stuff over the speer gold dot I have. I'd rather hit with worse ammo, than miss with the "better" stuff. Buy me a couple hundred rounds of the good stuff if you care.

Nicotine pouches because I'm a fiend

Model 60 no dash, switched out the pachmayrs is came with for the old wood grips and grip adapter

Love it. Need to practice more. Felt more accurate with the 158 semi wadcutters compared to the speer gold dot 125 +p

Issue with my model 60 no dash?

Recently acquired, noticing the cylinder can slide past the frame lug(?) with a little intentional effort, less effort for it to slide on the first "step" of the lug. Fires, reloads and rotates fine.

I figure its just a wear issue being from the late 1970s. Fixable? Should I rush to fix it? How to avoid more wear? Ty

Also a before and after pic, yanked off the old but nice Pachmayr rubber grips, smaller grips and grip adapter on the way. Had to do some scrubbing.

Typical EDC, work, errands, road trips etc etc

Smith and Wesson Model 60, 38 special, made mid 70s. The previous owner bobbed the hammer and added the nice Pachmayr grips. Mikas Pocket Holster

North Americans Arms 22lr mini revolver, orchid color, added the XL rosewood grips from NAA. Sticky Holster

I usually carry one, sometimes both

Old Red Wing money clip wallet, discontinued. Needs replacing

Barlow knife, good enough for my purposes of cutting cardboard and tape at work

Casio F-91W watch, cheap and reliable

Zyns

Keys

I like kinda retro, kinda old, kinda funky and functional things.

Challenge coins not pictured, as well as earbuds, I dont always have those. Can carry it all in my work uniform pockets, will often have a running bag or something to throw some of it in, depending on what I'm doing that day.

Model 60 no dash, cant remove the stocks but from what I can tell 1974-77 range for the production date. Buttery trigger. Tame recoil.
