What A/T tires are you running?
My OBW still has dealer grade all seasons on it, which are fine for daily use, but I want something a little meatier for going off the beaten patch. I don't need anything seriously rugged like KO3s.
The Volvo I had before it had BFG Trail Terrain T/As that I loved and would absolutely buy again. But am open to something else.
Also thinking about Pirelli Scorpion A/T Plus, Faulken Wildpeak A/T Trail, or General Grabber APT.
Crawling through the Pine Barrens.
Went into the NJ Pine Barrens yesterday to scope out a good camping spot, but had more fun taking my OBW off road. I'm honestly shocked how well the dealer-grade all seasons did. I still need to upgrade to some meaty all terrains and probably some underbody protection if I plan to to this regularly.
(Also, no, I did not see any Russian interior decorators or eat ketchup packets out of a van. Just in case anyone was wondering)
Junkyard goats of Business Rt. 1
At Simon's Garage by the Doggy daycare and Wawa. These guys always make my day when I drive by. Finally stopped to introduce myself.
Found this poor lil' fella when I was kayaking.
Good camping spots in or around Bucks?
Looking for some good camping recommendations in Bucks County or within 1-2 hour drive. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just somewhere quiet where I can park my car and pop a tent.
Thought my OBW looked particularly nice here.
Ummm...
Want to buy one of these for my mom. Thought I'd check eBay to see if maybe I could find it cheaper. Lol, I think I'll just go to the store. Resellers have really lost their mind.
Help me decide on a vanity plate
Bought a '22 OBW last month and it still has the vanity plate from my 2010 Volvo XC60 on it. ("REAL T6" because it had the old turbocharged 6 cylinder, that Volvo discontinued and replaced with a turbo & supercharged 4 cylinder, that they stupidly still called a T6....)
Anyway, figure my OBW deserves a vanity plate, too.
Here's a few I'm thinking of.
- BIG WAGN (Big wagon)
- TALL WAGN (Tall wagon)
- NOTNSUV (Not an SUV)
- OFRDWGN (Off road wagon)
- GO OUTSD (Go outside)
- STY OTSD (Stay outside)
Also open to ideas!
First time I threw my Kayaks on the OBW since I bought it last month!
"The guy who keeps scheduling inventory on a Monday is in the parking lot"
youtube.comIn Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) Herbie, a 1963 Beetle who was 42 at the time, gets aroused about going on a date with a 2004 Beetle, who was only 1 year old at the time. Thus defying him as a pedophile. What a sick, twisted fuck.
Joined the club! Going to miss my XC60, but not the gas or repair bills.
Joined the club! New to me 2022 OBW. I used to swear I'd be a Volvo driver for life, but here we are.
Upgraded from a well loved but very tired 2010 XC60.
Looking at a '22 OBW with 80k miles. Any issues I should look out for?
I'm looking at buying a 2022 Outback Wilderness with 80k miles, and am wondering if there's anything (non wear an tear) that I should keep in mind if I end up buying it. I'm mainly worried about the screen and other electronics. I considered buying Carmax's extended warranty, but it's only good for two years, and at $2500 it doesn't make a lot of sense.
Also I don't see a CVT flush on the Carfax report, is 80k too late or will I be okay?
