Take this everlasting rose, to remind you of them. It will be painful to walk with your grief, but it is better than to forget.

Polychromos pencils with Caran d'arche luminance white

Uniball Signo Gel

Spent a good few hours on it, first time using my Polychromos pencils, I just replaced my Black Widow pencils with them as I wasn't enjoying them. Really happy with it, and didn't make it spooky for once :)

Whilst colouring I thought of the little poem thing. I've never experienced grief, myself, but I adore the sentiment of not forgetting, but walking with your grief. I see Death as a kind figure, someone who helps others move into the afterlife, here he feels sorry for the dog's loneliness and wants to help him too.

My Current WIP

Cute -> Horror colouring, used Black Widow pencils. Not completely sold on them but having yet to try better ones, I don't know how they compare.

My partner bought me 5 sets, excluding the skin tones, here is my first finished part of this page using just the pencils :)

Did I mess up

Good morning!

I recently bought two Black Widow pencil sets - Monarch and Dragon (~£33). After doing some research I saw they're very recommended and came with great colours for making horror based art.

The issue I am having is I am wondering if I should've just bought some Prismacolors or even Polychromos which I think would've been a better way to spend my money? I realise that getting all sets of Black Widows would put me over £100 which isn't 'budget pencil' territory at all. For example, for £36 I could've gotten 36 Polychromos.

Do I refund them and buy a different set or are they worth what I have spent on them? They're missing a few colours which would be great, but would mean buying more sets.

The black widows feel good, I've never used a better brand to know the difference, but especially with a blending pencil they seem to do great.

Please help

Cute -> Creepy Colouring Page

First try at a transformation like this, has really triggered an imagination I thought I didn't have. What do you think?

Cute to Creepy!

First time ever trying anything like this, never tried to draw 'horror' before, but I think I've done a good job of it here! This type of art has really brought out an imagination I believed I didn't even have.. hope you like it :)

Plug and Play - Good for 1080p Gaming?

Good morning!

I'm sure there have been a lot of posts since the recent Steam Machine announcement, with regards to alternatives.

I am not looking for a straight alternative. I'm looking for someone we can have plugged in with the TV, turn on and game, maybe using Bazzite-deck or Windows 11 but Steam auto boot into Big Picture. It will be for my son and I.

We currently game on a docked Steam Deck, so I would like performance similar/slightly better than this. The hope is that I could use my Steam Deck whilst he plays on the TV, as I see there are a lot of games which are online co-op only, not split screen. We use Xbox Series X controllers.

My ideal budget is around £600-£800, with a preference for the low end of that. This Beelink is one of the better looking deals I have seen so far (£530 - SER9 PRO).

Would this be a suitable replacement for using my Steam Deck docked? Are there better alternatives here in the UK?

For reference, we currently play games like Wobbly Life, Nickelodeon games, Ben10 Power Trip, Gigantisaurus

Thank you so much, sorry to add to the neverending Steam Machine - like posts!

Trans Parents, Trans Lesbians and Social Transitioning

My lovely partner (34F) and I (29MTF) were talking about me finally socially transitioning and how we would overcome certain obstacles. She has a lot of concerns, most of which I had answers to. Unfortunately there were a couple of things she said about our kids I wanted to ask for some advice on.

I think it's important to note I likely won't pass after social transitioning. I am 6 foot 5 (197cm), have a deep voice (I'm working on) and prominent Adam's apple. [Live in UK]

Question 1: I do most of the nursery runs for our 4 year old, soon he starts school, she's worried that he will be bullied because of me being publicly trans. I feel this is overly pessimistic, does anyone have experiences of this/the opposite?

Question 2: My mum likely won't say much, but her partner is quite anti-progressive (if that's a phrase) and against trans people so I'm sure he will. The worry here is that his son is in the same school and year as our daughter (15yo). My partner is worried he'll use this to bully her, turn her friends against her. Again, asking if anyone has experience with this?

Question 3: She's very worried about me wearing skirts/dresses in particular. I've made it clear once I socially transition I will not want to go back. We're both worried our relationship may not survive that, but will end amicably if that ends up being the case. I would like to hear any experiences people have that have transitioned socially and like me won't be able to pass, do the general public even care?

Thanks so much!

What is Going on? So Many Questions..

The UK and the US are really trying their best to erase trans people from their country for what?

This whole rhetoric is controlled by billionaires and bots, mass posting nonsense absolutely everywhere??

Where's people's humanity gone?? Do we not care for others anymore? Do we seriously want more damage done to these communities???

I barely follow the news, don't use social media outside of Reddit and have no friends or peers IRL. So, I understand that my view point is probably wrong in many respects, but I am trying to learn, I promise.

I just don't get it. I'm so close to coming out, so close to finally presenting myself in a way I feel comfortable, so scared of my voice, my height, my mannerisms, why must I now be terrified of random people? Of family? Listening and believing everything they're told, by utter liars.

I'm so proud of myself for coming out to my partner, wearing only women's clothes at home, having longer hair, wearing light makeup. I'm so proud of my beautiful partner who a year ago wasn't sure she could manage with me transitioning, and is now my biggest supporter. She's also the only one who knows.

I've been on DIY HRT for over a year now, my boobs are really quite obvious now, I'm surprised no one's commented on them yet. But like how do I go swimming in the sea now? Do I wear a t-shirt? Then when it's wet they'll be crazy obvious? Monday I'm with my mum's family for a water day, everyone will see my boobs???? What do I say? Do?

How will my 4 y/o react? My 14 y/o? My mum?

Why do shops not have clothes for tall people inside their shops? Only online? How do tall women find clothes that don't break the bank?

Feel like I'm losing my marbles, not really sure the point of this post, it's very random, sorry. What a time to be alive.
