Only in the last two books when she is stubborn in dealing with Rand for the last battle and such.

Up until ToM she really was just an awesome character. She went from the whirlwind of leaving 2R, capture by Seanchan, hunting black ajah, apprenticing to wise ones, puppet Amyrlin, real amyrlin, badass civil disobedience laying groundwork for reuniting the tower, bitch slapping the seanchan raiders, capturing hella black ajah sisters via Verrin's notes and finally being raised realer Amyrlin and healing the tower.

I cant seem to understand all the threads/polls that overwhelmingly list her as the most hated character in the series.

so the scene in KoD where Anan is looking at Matt’s foxhead. He seems to sus out that she was in the tower but it really doesn’t explicitly say she was aes sedai.

in the wiki she is named as Martine Janata who was burned out studying terangreal.

i’m on a re read so i’m curious if that gets revealed in the future because i totally forgot about this. The revelation makes so many things about the innkeeper make way more sense i.e. knowledge of the kin and such.

I forgot about all the great things in this one, mostly because of all the negative press it receives as a component of "The Slog"

Perrin was barely in the book albeit featured prominently on the cover. On a re read there were definitely things that I glossed over. Rand's Far Madding adventures, Elayne and Avi first sister stuff. Elayne's assassination attempt. Mat plotting to escape Tylin and first meetings with Tuon. Then the whole saving of the leashed Aes Sedai and Rand's and Lan on a fun team up. Cant forget the Choedan Kal. It was also the big reveal that Mazrim Taim was a darkfriend, or at least that he wanted Rand dead. Maybe it was revealed prior but I think it might be the first time Rand has it confirmed when he has the vision of the ghost ashaman coming up the stairs talking about Taim wanting them to kill Rand.

Was it the best in the series? No not to me. I do think it catches far more hate than it deserves.

Verin was black? i’m to the point where Verin is explaining her patchwork compulsion while interviewing the tower sisters held by the wise ones. it’s really interesting trying to pick up on things during a re read about certain characters. Verin is one of my favorite characters in the series and i’m wondering what might be the first hints of her double life

Create the adam with no leash? I see they are using it in the prologue of lord of chaos but i didnt see her make it during fires of heaven. Maybe i missed it.

Marrigan was? Im rereading (actually listening) and the opening scene with nynaeve and siuan from Lord of Chaos where they are testing the adam. I guess Elayne made the leashless adam right? I didnt see it mentioned just that Elayne was talking about perfect matrices. Also do Siuan and Leanna know who Marrigan actually is?

Im curious about how people felt about the series in comparison to Malazan. I started reading WoT in high school and was long graduated by the time the series was finally completed. My journey with those characters lasted for many years. By comparison I listened to Malazan and its accompanying novels and prequels in less than a year.

It may be recency bias but I felt that the world building was deeper in Malazan and the character development was more diligent. As I sat and thought about this I realized I may have been mistaken. Jordan built a deep and broad world and filled it with a vast amount of lore and history. It may even be more diverse and colorful than Malazan.

Initially after completing MBotF I determined it had unseated WoT from the top spot in my personal hierarchy of works. Today I am contemplating beginning an audiobook listen of WoT and in thinking back on the series I may think that it is still the favorite. I love the two rivers crew and the magical conflicts in WoT seem much more epic than in Malazan. Certain Aes Sedai scraps and most assuredly scenes with Rand and the Foresaken are truly epic in regard to magic use.

I definitely and going to listen now starting with EotW. is there a definitive audibook version among fans?

Hello I am stuck with the portable install. I have tried installing in various locations and someone suggested installing the portable version. I have extracted with 7z to a folder on the desktop called "AI". I cannot seem to get passed this portion

for a long time for me it has been live trax 12. his solo on typical situation and the work on #36 are some of my all time favorite of his.

Ive seen some live trax being called two sets which im confused about. Also some seem longer like they contain two shows instead of just one night. Fenway Park seems like its two nights.

There are the shake monasteries in Kurald Galain Yan and Yedan and they have their God and Goddess who both end up dead by the end of Fall of Light right? Finnara Stone is "crowned" as Twighlight by Sheccanto wasnt she?

But then there is also Yedan Nerad with the deniers in the woods who promised them to Anomander during that one scene and he is visited in visions by Twilight who was not Finnara but took on the appearance at times of Enesdia and other times seems to be premonitions of Lightfall.

So I am a little bit confused. Were the shake monks separate from the Andii? Sheccanto was very old but perhaps not immortal as the Andii. The deniers in the woods were not Andii right?

Just a bit confused about the end result because the Shake in MBotF have Andii blood from descendants of those that fled Kurald Galain through Galans Road right?

I think i already forgot it and im trying to hold on to that tasty Leroi melody.

In Disk 7 of the Complete Weekend on the Rocks set. Track 8 is a version of American Baby that I really love. I had it stuck in my head and was searching for it until I came across it here. Is this version played any other times?

So Korlat is born wtf. I remember in TCG when Sand is remembering tragedy in the house of Draconus when she was a hostage. I dont know if i remember it as described in FoL. Oh and olar ethil is here lmfao.

Anyway huge amazing scene. Showdown with Caladan and Envy and Spite. House blown to bits. Sandra goes up the tower and sees the demon behind the door and thinks its Draconus.....however Wrenecks ghost gods kept telling him about the finnest. And i think i Olar and Caladan were talking about that as well. Gonna have to redo this scene. But it seems that Bizarro Draconus pulled multiple stillborn from Sand before pulling Korlat. This is absolutely wild. Is this something that clicks for you when you read it or is there more RAFO. ill go back through it

Prazek and Dathenar are such a breath of fresh air with all the seriousness of this prequel hahaha. Every scene with them has me guffawing. I just got through them picking up their hust gear and it was great.

Sheltatha Lore is Tathe Lorat’s daughter from Scara Bandaris? but really no mention of scabandari being her father in FoD. wiki says her father was Tathe’s first husband who is now dead.

Sharenas Ankhadu is Sukuls sister and traveling with Osserc… but osserc is sukuls father so what he had two bastard daughters?

Menandore can’t be Sukuls sister because Sukul is Infayens younger sister and Infayen is Menandores mother.
