Will you be interested in a website that that has minimum hourly rate ($10/hr) and vetted companies and freelancers?

Basically the title. I've been seeing a lot of posts about OLJ and the horrendous hourly rates these companies are asking. I've seen posts with $2/hr. rates or even $0.5?/hr.

My current role right now kasi is in the hiring space, and I have already around 44 companies that are looking for VAs and other professionals AND WILLING to pay for the right person.

I am currently building a Film Camera app: Afterhours Camera, and this is the film picker that I designed

The goal of the UI is to make it as easy as possible to switch through swatches of film in app, as well as the film amount and tone science.

My goal here was to really make it easy for the user to do the actions with just their thumb and nothing more.

Also the reason why I am using sample photos instead of the live camera view is a purely architectural. Skia rendering + Film simulations are very heavy on mobile devices that the app crashes when users flip through film stocks very fast.

Anyway, yeah. UI design is not just making things look pretty. Sometimes the UI evolves because underlying architectural compromises had to be done.

I've had a lot of DMs about my procedural poster design - heres how it works

hey everyone.

so I've already had 8 people DM me about the procedural poster feature of my app Afterhours asking me how it works, and I wanna show the community how easy it is to do.

I've designed the poster myself since in another life I was a graphic designer, so I wanted to combine the two disciplines in this app.

From poster design -> app infrastructure and converting the design into math and JSON data.

The app comes spits out the design in seconds.

My second video taking into account what everybody said was wrong in my first video. is this better?

Hello again everyone.

Yesterday I posted a video of me talking for the first time infront of the camera, and the resounding response was I look bored and monotone. I took everyones input and took another video.

This is my second take (well not second because there was a lot of practice takes before this)

What i did before this last shot:

  1. I cleaned up my place first so that I didnt have to think of anything else while taking the video. I can focus on just one thing.
  2. I literally jumped up and down hyping myself up before pressing record.
  3. I wrote a "script", and tried to remember it as much as I can. script in the sense that the idea is there and not verbatim.
  4. Adlibbed the first and last parts of the video.

Honestly the comments from my last video really helped, and I cannot thank the people enough for taking the time to respond.

Are you guys interested in a free alternative to Dehancer for the iPhone?

Hi guys,

Basically the title. I just launched my app that has film simulations built on it with a Raw / DNG pipeline built for iPhone Pro cameras, and I was wondering if you guys are interested in using it?

There are in app purchases on the app but the film simulation pipeline is totally free to use, and I would love to know if you guys are interested in using it.

For sure, Dehancer is leagues better, but I am committed to working on the app non-stop to make it as better as possible with the help of the community that I am building.

I would love to know your thoughts.

I built and shipped an iPhone camera app by myself. Now I have to figure out how to market it.

Hi guys,

not gonna use ai on this one.

So basically the past 6 months, I have been developing Afterhours. Its a camera app that simulates film, old school video cameras, how crt monitors look, old school polaroids, disposable cameras and a lot more.

I also implemented procedural posters for the images that you take that is ready to post for social media.

I would like to say that the shelf alone is a very good showcase compared to other camera apps out there.

I also implemented a pro workflow for Pro iphones and will use native DNG files for better processing of the images compared to .heic, and a lot more technology behind the scenes.

I would love to know what you guys think.

It is already live and free to download : Appstore link

My first ever time talking infront of a camera. Please tell me what im doing wrong.

Hi guys,

New to the community, and I thought that this is the best place to ask. This is going to be my first video that I will post that I am speaking infront of a camera, and I know I sound very stiff and unnatural. How can I improve this?

I know I just have to keep on doing it more, and irregardless of how bad this look, I will still post this until I get better.

Some tips would be greatly appreciated.

I know I am not really talking infront of a crowd like actual public speaking

Let's see your battle stations without cleaning up.

It's usually not this messy guys. I promise.

On a side note, converting from .heic to png turned a 3mb image to 18mb?

I am creating an app that simulates nightvison (basically nightshot by SONY). Is this somewhat close?

Basically the title, simulating it in-app using an iPhone with all the artifacts of an old school Sony digicam.

Is this video somewhat close?

sa mga nag aapply ng maraming remote jobs — gumawa ako ng chrome extension para tumigil na ako sa manual typing

background: nag apply ako ng mga 80+ remote jobs last year (mostly overseas kasi mas okay yung comp). tapos na realize ko na yung nakakainis sa job hunting, hindi naman yung essay questions. okay lang yun, dapat naman effort talaga. yung nakakainis is retyping ng SAME 8 fields sa bawat form. name, email, phone, address, linkedin, github, salary, work auth. paulit ulit sa Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, kung anu ano pa. minsan 30 minutes ka pa sa isang form na yun bago mo pa maabot yung actual essay part.

Im spoiled by my chair and now my back hurts

So currently, I don’t have internet in my condo, and now I am forced to go out of the house to work. Im a software engineer and I usually spend 10-12 hours working without any pain whatsoever.

Sitting in a wooden cafe chair for 3 hours and, and now Im regretting all of my life choices.

Do anybody feel like this?

The title says it all.

I was responsible for the design of the app that raised $45 million, but while I was working on it. It was pure decision by committee, and I thought that I can do better with my ideas.

I have been a designer for more than a decade, and good design, usability has always been the forefront of my projects so thats what I sought out to do.

I wanted to make a mobile CRM that actually makes getting things done feel fast.

So I developed Stadora. An all in one CRM (another one, i know) that I personally think looks the best compared to other CRMs in the niche, and I think you will like it too.

It will have your:
- leads
- tasks
-pipeline
-notes
-listings
- AI - (let me explain, this is not just a GPT wrapper. The AI pulls context from your leads, tasks, listings, notes, pipeline, dates, etc to create what to do next when you start the day.
- You can also create social media templates (pre-made) so that you dont have to use Canva, all in very few clicks of a button
- The app also looks great in your iPad if you use it (please download the app, i purposely got an ipad to test how it looks)
- It is not brokerage specific (I dont have access to an MLS anyway, but planning on that feature later down the line)

I would love to have agents download the app (currently it is all free, even AI generation is free and im paying for all the bills). I would just like to get some feedback on the app to better serve agents needs.

Will still be planning on adding subscription down the line but bootstrapping everything for the mean time.
