Just received this email from Scene. 100 points for $10 off... is this a typo or a limited time promotion? The 'Redeem at Cineplex' link leads to a page that only mentions Playdium and Rec Room so it's unclear.

In order to use the travel medical insurance included with the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite+ Card, do I have to have paid for my travel using the card?

My workplace has a really basic landline. Last week, we had an issue where anyone who called would – when the phone was answered – get an earful of static for a second, and then be disconnected. Outgoing calls could be placed without issue. The issue went away overnight and we chalked it up to a temporary glitch. Now, about a week later, we're having the same problem.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

Can any Cineplex employee explain why seats are broken/unavailable for screenings that don't take place for over a month (I'm looking at you, 'The Odyssey'). Surely a broken seat – such as H8 at SilverCity Mississauga – can be fixed by July 16?

Just seems odd that they'd rather 'abandon' a seat that would easily sell instead of fixing it.

I have two printers on my network. Both appear in print dialog box as expected. But one of the two printers also appears in "Other Printers". Any idea why this is and how I can get rid of it?

Just started getting a weird error when trying to print one particular PDF file. This is a file that hasn't been modified in about 2 years – I typically print about 20 copies/month. Last week, it started doing something where it would go to Print Center which gave the usual "waiting to finish" message. That message would disappear after a few seconds (far too quick for a 14-page document) and the printer would output nothing.

I was able to reproduce this on two different Macs, each running (different versions of) Sequoia.

One clue: I typically use Preview to view/print PDFs. While trying to troubleshoot, I opened this particular document with Podofyllin and it's print window only shows one blank page (while the document is 14 pages).

I also tried re-exporting the PDF as a new document (via Preview) but am getting the same result. All other PDFs print properly.

Any thoughts?

Cineplex' current promo rewards BOGO/popcorn vouchers when purchasing a $30 gift card. I purchased the GC last Wednesday but haven't received the vouchers yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

I quit using Bartender after its unexpected change in ownership. I've tried Ice and Thaw as replacements. They work, but I sorely miss the trigger feature that was a highlight of Bartender. I would do things like:

- hide the WiFi unless I wasn't connected to a network

- show the sound icon when my Mac is muted

- only show Badgeify if it had a notification

Is there any other menubar management app that supports triggers?

I'm trying to filter out my Reminders whose location is "Getting In Car", but there doesn't seem to be a filter for "Location" in the "Find Reminders" action. Any suggestions on how to make this work?

I'm interested in having the page count appear as a custom column, so I installed and configured the "Count Pages" plugin. But when I run it, I'm getting inaccurate numbers on every book. The book 'Yesteryear' is not 118,080 pages long, for example!

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
