if you had the chance to go remote, would you?

I was recommended by a higher up at work for a different position in my company. This position would be remote, and I have no idea the pay difference, but it would be at least the same if not a little more, definitely not less. however, I’ve always worked in food industry, office, etc. so I’m used to being around people all day. I’ve always wanted to remote, but now that it’s happening, it’s stressing me out thinking of having no human interaction all day. if you had a chance to leave your office and go remote, would you? I keep thinking like what if I go fully remote and then I miss being in the office. my coworkers are nice, but we don’t hangout outside of work. I do think I could go into the office if I wanted to, but I wouldn’t have a desk anymore and it might be weird. HELP

Edit: I’m also young and scared that once I go remote, if I ever wanted to go back to an office job, the people hiring wouldn’t consider me as a candidate. Is it hard to get an office job after being remote?

Best furniture in the rain?

Hi all! I just moved to a house with a big backyard and am actually getting outdoor furniture now. What’s the best furniture I can get that won’t get all mildew stinky in the rain? I was thinking some plastic adirondack looking chairs would be fine? Any advice plz and thx!

Help with rehearsal dinner dress!

Hi! Are any of these appropriate for a rehearsal dinner? The bride said dress like you’re going on a fancy date. I don’t want to be too fancy or too casual! I also have short dresses I can post if that seems better. For reference, the actual wedding is black tie and our bridesmaid dresses are black. Thx!!

Good car shops?

Hi all! my AC doesn’t work, and I’m struggling to find a place to look at it. I called - car shop that said it would be $125 “diag” which I had never heard of before. Where are used to live in South Carolina, I would just bring my car to the shop, they would look at it, and they would say everything looks good and I’d give a $20 for looking, or they’d charge for whatever needs fixing. anyone know of any mom and pop car shops that will just look at my AC without charging over $100? Thx and let me know!

I’m so skeptical of everything

This is kind of a joke but also not. Today I was reading a post about women’s lack of pockets, and all I could think was “big purse doesn’t want us to have big pockets and teams up with big pants for this!” Same thing for seeds, like I was thinking the other day about how big fruit convinced the whole world that we don’t want seeds in our fruits, but in reality, it’s just big fruit keeping us from growing our own fruits. If anyone else is skeptical of everything and everyone like me, please comment your similar thoughts about this

What jobs can I get that make the most money?

I 24F have always been extremely driven to make money. I’ve been working food service since I was 12 (way too young), and have always been a hard worker. I got my degree in Biology, and I now work doing clinical documentation in primary care, sooo I make horrible money. I originally wanted to go to medical school, but working at this clinic made me realize that’s not for me because you don’t make enough money for the amount of money you have to put in for school.

The title says it all, I realized that I just want to make a bunch of money. I don’t care about passion for a job anymore, and I don’t care what field it’s in. I’m not expecting a miracle; I know everyone starts at the bottom. i’m just working way too much at my job now to be getting paid so little. What jobs could you recommend to me? And how do I get to those jobs? Do I need to go back to school, internship, etc? Any advice would be much appreciated!

10cm rectal mass on 54M

My dad just got a colonoscopy that showed he had a rectal mass (the doc said it was 10 cm but it doesn’t say the size on the report). It was sent for bx. Is it 100% certain that he has colon cancer? Everything I’ve seen says that a mass this size IS cancer, not that it MIGHT be cancer. Thinking back to a few weeks ago, his AST was off and I was confused why, could it be metastasized to the liver? Please help with guidance

Street parking on James Island?

i’m looking to rent a house on James Island because I live in Summerville and the traffic is too bad to my work. We’re looking on jordan Street in James Island, is street parking ok there? I didn’t see any when I was driving through but then on Google maps view I saw a couple cars street parking. Thank you!

By the way, I mean, is it illegal to park on the street outside your house? Or will I get ticketed, towed, or something?

[NC] I brought my coworker papers after he was fired

The title says it all. I work at a doctor’s office as front desk staff. My coworker (a nurse practitioner) got fired, and after he was fired, he asked me to bring him this paper they sent him that basically highlighted how good he was doing. It didn’t contain any clinical information, just that he was top in the east coast in numbers and a congratulations. I’m kind of buddies with him, so I brought it to him when he asked, but it’s because he wants to sue for wrongful termination. Am I in deep shit if anyone finds out? I didn’t think it was a big deal at the time (stupidly) because it wasn’t patient documents. Feeling really stupid right now and looking for help.
