Lightning struck my store (or the power line near it) and the power went out.

And, naturally, my order was cancelled. Now they want proof of the lightning. Any tips on capturing lightning strikes? All I got was a photo of a walmart employee upset in the store, but they said that doesn't count.

Can I ask for compensation re-imbursement for extra during deliveries as requested by customer?

Basically multiple apartment complex where the GPS is not where the apartment is and they ask you to bring to 3rd or 4th floor (Walmart groceries). Also I had a few where people are ordering lunch who work in stores inside the mall, which requires going down 2 escalators and deep inside the mall just to deliver, but the GPS lists the front entrance of the mall. I'd settle for 50 cents per stairwell or something or a couple dollars to go all the way inside the mall and down a flight of stairs/up. I"m not unreasonable, but I really feel scammed (more than usual) when I get a $5 order a 10 miles away which may be a 10 bags of groceries, but I have to go to the 4th floor of a building (multiple times for multiple trips with bags) or 3 football fields and 2 stairwells inside a building.

Make sure you choose the correct escape route, or you can be charged with that too.

from a distance "pedestrian on the roadway" sounds like they're saying being a pedestrian is illegal, but obviously they mean highway, not roadway. Honestly, it sounds like the just tacked on the extra charge because they were mad they had to chase him, but they already had a resisting arrest or evading a police officer charge anyways. The driver intervened because she was just trying to make sure that man stayed out of her lane? I'm surprised they didn't charge the driver for attempted manslaughter, but i'm sure the driver appropiately avoided hitting the man while also preventing him from going past the car.

Any ideas on how to unlock? I bought this phone in 2025 when they had 60 day unlocking polices but now they changed it and make you wait 1 year, the bastards. I got 5 months of service and they still won't let me unlock it.

Bought a new phone with preincluded minutes/plan

It includes 1 year of service (like 1000 min/text/500mb of data) I bought like 3 months ago on sale and decided now to activate it. Wont' let me do it online. Call the number and they say that I have to "verify" the account. The phone is new, no account, no phone, says emergency calls only. I have all the packaging and activation insert that matches the sim card in the phone. They say return to the store but store won't take it back (walmart) after 30 days. What do I do? Someone has hijacked my imei number because they say it's already registered to a different account and I cant' use the phone or the sim and I lost my 1 year of service? The customer service is very unhelpful and says they can't escalte or do anything. Is there an email I can send my docs too or an address to file a grievance?

Are there places I can get free legal advice?

I already tried legal aid. They can't help. Are there legal associates related to the university or somewhere else I should ask? I've already spent plenty of money to the not free lawyers and I still need legal advice. It is related to appellate court of appeals or conservatorship mistrial or mishearing and judicial misconduct.

Are there local places where I can get free legal advice?

I already tried legal aid of chattanooga. Are there like young lawyer associations or law associations related to the university? I've already given money to plenty of lawyers who haven't done much and I still need advice on different legal matters.

Can I add a person later to an i-130 petition case?

Applied for my sister in 2009. 2026 they finally respond. Hey pay some more fees, send us your paystubs again. Do you have additional sponsors? (A question i asked them several times and answer was NO because our father has been a citizen for over 11 years) Oh, are there more people to add like children? Send us their birth certificates. I don't have my nephew's birth certificate, i just have his passport. Uploaded it they wouldn't' accept it. Already paid the fees. It's been over a month since they responded, i dont want delay anymore so if I just NOT add my nephew will I be able to do it later? Went to a paralegal and they tried to scare me into hiring them saying that I can only add my sister's son to the visa application now and that I have to hire them to fix the error. I haven't submitted it yet with my docs, only paid the fees (which you have to do before u upload docs).

I see people driving newer or nicer cars with significant body damage all the time and I don't imagine they did that, but bought it that way for a lower price. Where can we find dealers that sell cars like this?

I actually hired a lawyer literally 3 months ago, but he assured me he did absolutely nothing other than adding his name as official rep for the case. The i-130 petition was already expedited to the nvc and left uscis like 5 years ago during middle of covid when I called and asked to be expedited or applied to be expedited after waiting a while and things changing (regarding my sister's health concerns). Our father had a heart atttack on Jan 2 and is in a coma since but I don't know because they don't let me visit him after the hospital sent a petition for conservatorship and the judge approved it without a hearing or a trial based on a petition full of mistruths and lies by the hospital (they didn't even get our address right). They transferred him to a nursing home and this nursing home has restricted his visitation from his only family (me) here and as of recently won't let me visit him for over 1 week and said it will be another 1 week before they allow me to visit him. I was visiting him because his doctor's said that it's part of his healthcare to receive regular visitation and stimulation from people that know him, the nursing home knows this but they use the idea of the conservator to block me and the law doesn't seem to do anything about it despite reporting it to the proper authorities, healthcare and otherwise. Another reason why my sister should come here as soon as possible because she can qualify to be the conservator, this nursing told the hospital and the hospital told the local court that they would refuse him as a patient if I was appointed the conservator (and I never had any relation or communication with them before he was transferred there), so the judge refused to appoint me as the conservator, even though it is my father's right and my right as well to have someone who has been helping him for over 30 years and lives with him to be the conservator. I was already doing this for a while before he was ever hospitalized. (I helped manage his finances and book him doctor appointments and do physical therapy and other healthcare stuff for him).

Anyways, the lawyer I hired for my sister (not the first lawyer we hired for i-130 help but the rest said they can't do anything until government responds to petition which could be unlimited time or another 5 years they kept saying). I hired a lawyer despite knowing this and that lawyer also telling me that because I wanted to satisfy my father that he forgot or was concerned that the case didn't have a lawyer and my sister was pushing for one even though she was ignorant that we had already hired several lawyers in the past. I hired the lawyer anywayss in the week my father was hospitalized after the heart attack. So the NVC emailed me (my old email that I had listed on there) about the response to the petition and attached are the photos from the CEAC website. The new struggle I have is that this lawyer even though I have already paid him over $600 for basically not doing much at all, my case was already in limbo in the NVC for past 5 years. Now his secretary called and asks for $4,500 to continue the case and actually do something with the case. This is a big surprise because I was expecting to pay more but not that much. The conservator took pretty much all the savings and money from my father and shut down his bank account. I am working 2 jobs and supporting my sister and nephew overseas and still managing all the taxes, car repair, and trying to save a little money in case I need to pay more hospital bills or treatments for our father. I had to pay the house tax recently and electricity bills are not cheap. So anyways, I'm thinking it's a good idea to save some money since I don't really trust this lawyer anymore because he is saying he is responsible for it being transferred from uscis (his secretary anyways) and I know that this is baloney and it was already in NVC for last 5 years (I'm the one that gave him the case number and invoice number!). So I"m not sure what to do at this stage. It appears I can either exempt some fees or pay them on the website and I want to move the process along as fast possible for my sister and my father, I think he would love to receive visitation from her and his grandson. The other thing is because there is this conservator in charge, he has been neglecting my father I believe because my father I believe to be going without available treatments that his doctors said would be available to him at 2 months post initial coma and it's been almost 4 months now. The conservator knows this and despite my communication he will not arrange any referrals to treatment or even speak with the doctor. He seems to be content with just leaving him at the nursing home and the nursing home is also neglecting him I believe. He received an infection there and his room is still under mask and gown and glove protocol and the managers of that place and nurses don't even follow their own rules and this has been going on for over a month since he has been transferred there on march 19, 2026. I had to report it to the manager of that place but they are also breaking these rules and I had to report to nursing home authority of TN where I live and they received this report and I believe this is why they ban me from visiting for 2 weeks and they took his radio away (which he listens to a foreign language radio that is ONLY available via an app on a phone he has and they know this). If I cannot visit (and they know I am the only one who is visiting him and the conservator does not and they know the conservator is ignorant and apathetic) then I cannot witness any more rule breaking or things they are not supposed to be doing so no more reports. I think it is retaliation against me and my father from the nursing home admins. This is not the first time they have taken away visitation so I am not surprised.

I write this post to mainly ask you advice on how I would continue this process with i-130 being in NVC now and asking for response in a fast way since I may not be able to afford my lawyer at this point. Should I pay the fees? Should I include a letter about new circumstances and send this letter to who? Should I ask for exemption? What is the methodology to continue to process this case in a FAST way? What is the lawyer offering that I can do myself? This is what I am seeking advice on. If you have advice on the other things, I am very open to hearing about it as well. Thank you very much. I work 2 and a half jobs (doordash). Two regular jobs that are shift jobs and then doordash/instacart/ and sometimes uber with my car. thank you for your reading and your support!

P.S. it should be noted that I filed this petition originally in 2009 without any assistance from a lawyer and I confirm this because the lawyers I have consulted with over the years looked up the uscis case and said that I filed it myself. I had the help of a paralegal in some office I don't remember, but we had to mail it ourselves and they weren't a lawyer.

Also the lawyer may have changed the location of the foreign state of the interview or accountability that it says, since she moved countries since I originally filed the petition. I don't remember if I told the NVC customer service this last time I called or even uscis (since she has been there for a while), so I'm not sure who changed that aspect of the case, but I will give credit to the lawyer if he managed to do that.

visa type is f4 and country it is located in is costa rica, it is not the original country where the petition was first filed and she has two citizenships but only 1 passport from costa rica at this time. They won't give her a new passport from other country unless she flies back to that country which she says she cannot due to financial and health reasons (it's across the ocean).
