What are these tips called
The plastic white ones on the ends of Uni Propus window, they write absolutely amazing with the right amount of friction but I can't find a pen just with that tip.
Does anyone know pens (for general writing and not highlighters) with these tips?

Do toefl arrange the blanks answers need to be logical?
For example the image, the answer could be phrased as:
"did she say where she got it from?" (correct),
"where did she say she got it from?" (incorrect, assumes that she already said where she got the laptop from), or
"from where did she say she got it?" (incorrect, same issue).
In the actual toefl, will it count answers that are both grammatically correct and logical as correct?
When companies stick AI on products with nothing to do with AI
it's like they think putting AI on it is going to fix all their marketing problems and magically make the product sell better. The hand cream doesn't elaborate on what AI is doing there either.
First time doing XRD, why is my data so ugly?
Also my chi squared is astronomical, 22.2. How do I fix this? is it a fitting problem or a sample preparation issue, or is my sample just crappy?
Its supposed to be magnetite (synthesized under nitrogen with coprecipiation of Fe2 and Fe3 in NaOH)
Are calculators magnet-proof?
I'm thinking about sticking one of those magnet induction loops on my TInspire CXII CAS so that I can put it on a holder. Will the magnet affect the calculator at all? I'm scared that it'll break mid test or during something important.
How would you describe Pynchon's narrative voice?
It doesn't take much to tell that he has a unique style of narration. Having read only two of his works (GR and Lot 49), this 'voice' is definitely more unique in Lot 49, which I could only describe as complexly layered. The sentence structure which he employs is oftentimes interlooping, for example the first sentence of Lot 49, which in itself is 66 words without a period in between:
>One summer afternoon Mrs Oedipa Maas came home from a Tupperware party whose hostess had put perhaps too much kirsch in the fondue to find that she, Oedipa, had been named executor, or she supposed executrix, of the estate of one Pierce Inverarity, a California real estate mogul who had once lost two million collars in his spare time but still had assets numerous and tangled enough to make the job of sorting it all out more than honorary.
Now beyond his structural complexity there is also often a shadow of a social commentary intertwined with the themes in his works. There is oftentimes a vivid reflection of the historic background of whatever period of history its set in, and the 'human' element of that period, as in the suffocating human detritus of San Narciso.
Critics often say his works are satirical, but I would say they (specifically Lot 49, I don't remember GR that well) are rather an absurdist reflection of humanity in the gritty bits of society.
I haven't found a way to articulate in a single sentence this voice/style of narration other then "complex". How would you describe Pynchon to someone's who've never read him?
Where do I place speakers in a tiny room?
I have two speakers and a subwoofer and will probably be listening both at the monitor and on the bed... I also have no idea how any of this work I just want nice music
Only one trial for chem IA?
I want to do my chemistry (HL) IA on metal organic frameworks with dependent variable being surface area (pore size). I know we normally need 5 trials x 5 discrete variables for a decent grade, but I am thinking of using BET analysis to measure my DV.
basically:
| IV | DV |
|---|---|
| Intentional defects in framework (introduced by replacing a linker with molecules containing the same functional groups but smaller, ie trimesic acid --> 3x acetic acid) altered in increments of 5% from 0 to 30 | Surface area (measured through BET, used to estimate amount of defects) |
Now the only issue is that BET analysis aint cheap — I'll have to pay almost 400 dollars out of my pocket if I were to run 25 BET analyses.
Since each BET produces a plot instead of a singular data point, can I just use one trial for each discrete DV increment? I'll be able to perform goodness of fit test on that singular plot, but with red.-x-square instead of R^(2).
I really like this topic and don't want to change it... please im stuck
Do MSDSs exaggerate?
So basically I am using copper hydroxide in one of my labs, and the MSDS is implying that I'll die if I look at it the wrong way. It says I need a face shield on top of goggles, a hazmat suit and a P3 respirator, which seems a bit overkill for like 200 grams of the substance... people handle uranium with the same protective measures.
The issue is that I don't have the proper respiratory and hazmat suit, not that I'm unwilling to wear them. Should I just trust it or is it superfluous? I will obviously be working in a fume hood.
Thoughts on Google Scholar Labs?
For context, scholar labs is google scholar's AI search function.
Being fairly against the use of AI myself, I find scholar labs more or less tolerable because it finds details inside articles, and it directly quotes the relevant text instead of hallucinating doohickey summaries. It also gives direct links to the paper, which is better than other AIs which just dream up imaginary DOIs. In general, it saves a bunch of time, but I'm still not sure if I like it or not, even though it has proven to be reliable.
Any thoughts?
(no idea if this breaks rule 11, if so im sorry mods)
Was my dentist incompetent or is this humongous blob normal?
Permanent wire retainer came loose (the wire was intact, but the glue around it got grounded away) and my dentist was unavailable, so I got it fixed at a different clinic.
However, I felt like the clinic was being performative and generally did a bad job on literally gluing a wire...
They made us do a 15 minute 3D scan just to make a model of my teeth, while the wire was visibly detached from the teeth and couldn't be more obvious. Then, they applied this giant blob of material that sticks out way more than the other glue places... it's even visible when talking face to face or when I open my mouth.
Overall, I thought the dentist was being unnecessarily performative: they repeatedly reminded us of their Google reviews whilst gluing and wore surgical loupes even when talking to us.
