What if user flairs were implemented here and this subreddit became a bit like r/hellcreekformation (where people pretend to be the creatures of the place and time period), but for the Ediacaran ?
Of course, memes and discussions about the Ediacaran would still be present.
What do you think, u/DanicaDrohawk and other members ?
I recently remembered that I once overheard some wise mammals briefly mention that there exists a way, or rather, a technique which is useful when traversing enclosed places with low light conditions, such as these bunkers and tunnels...
I then trained for HOURS - especifically two days - in DARK CAVES and tunnels.
This helped me learn to use vocal and non-vocal sounds to somewhat understand the enclosed environment around me!
It really is fascinating to see- I mean, to hear in the dark how the proximity of a wall has "less noise" but my sounds rebound faster off of it, while more open parts of the caves have "more noise" but my sounds take longer to reach me back in those.
After enough practice, I have even learned to cautiously fly in the complete absence of light!
Since it consists on the use of echos to locate oneself, I decided to call this new ability...「 ECHOLOCATION 」!
Now, I no longer fear the tunnels, quite the opposite (bird), I am ready to master their ways.
And, at last, I accept my temporary identity as a CAVE BIRD!

After our hard work, we deserved a brief break before coming back to Hell Creek, so we had a Party in the Sky here in the Yucatán Peninsula !

First to the children's tale from brazilian folklore "Festa no Céu" (Party in the Sky), which is about a party of different flying animals; and second to the animated movie "The Book of Life" which takes place in Mexico and is also called "Festa no Céu" in Brazil (because "céu" can mean both "sky" and "heaven" in brazilian portuguese).]

After seeing the recent asteroidal news from our pterosaurstronomers, I have decided to dedicate my time to the Looping the Asteroid plan, because now I think it is something we MUST try.
I am quite happy to say that, after cautiously researching the Yellow Rooms Rock (that place honestly scares me), I have successfully learned how to make a portable entrance to those infinite caves !
To put it simply: it works best on more flat objects; the new entrance is proportional in size yet still smaller than the object it is located on, and it is only located on one surface of the object (which is good for us to carry it); the object loses this property when it enters the yellow rooms; and larger things that try to enter through entrances which are smaller than them tend to break apart, with some parts getting in and others staying out (it would be better if they where swallowed entirely, but that is still good).
Now, Purgatorius uno (u/Tyrannosaurus-Wreckz), I ask for your permission to put the movable entrance at the peak of the Yucatán spike, since I believe that would be the best place for that.
Also, overlord Palaeosaniwa (u/artempropisnov69) could you and your incredibly efficient companions please weave a big mat (the larger the better, but maybe at least with the square meters of T. rex's length) so I could make it the entrance that we will use on the Yucatán spike?
In case we have sparring time after the preparations for Operation Apocalypto (our best plan to survive this future event), I believe we should try the following:
-Calculate the location where the impact will happen.
-Research the infamous Yellow Rooms Rock (located just south of the Strange Caves), because it gives access to an (apparently) infinite space...
• We should first analyze if there is a limit to the speed, mass, or size of an object that can pass through the rock (big dinosaurs throwing very large rocks or logs may be the best way to test this). If the large object gets entirely absorded by rooms just by touching the entrance, or if it breaks apart and part of it goes in, then we should proceed to the next step. ↓
• We shall move the Yellow Rooms Rock to the place of impact.
*IF THE ABOVE NOT POSSIBLE ↓
• We should try to (somehow) transfer the teleporting-to-the-yellow-caves property to another, more movable object (the larger - yet of a size we can carry together - the better).
Of course, we must execute all tests first, and I do not garantee that the Yellow Rooms will completely absorb the asteroid or nulify the impact, but if it at least partially works, I predict the damage should be aproximately 5% less than if we did not do that.
I added some structures to increase its durability (yes, the hat is absolutely necessary).

I normally would not interfere with a hunt, but this is too strange! They are featherless and G R E E N!!

Before, I was thinking of staying in Hell Creek. But then, I decided to go help the other creatures in Nemegt...
Yet... I simply were not able to find that place, and instead arrived in a vast vast island with a fascinating biota and geography.
I reluctantly had to wake up a sleeping fellow opposite bird, the impressive Falcatakely, to ask where I was. It told me that this is the "Maevarano Formation", and the island is called "Madagascar", quite the mouth-spice to say, is it not? hahah
I might stay in this "paradise" (I already saw cannibalism here, but I know that it is more normal than most think) a bit more, but now I am thinking of going back to Hell Creek actually. If I was there now, I could have been helping with the most recent wildfire situation.

The various captures, escapes, and fake news surrounding this lizard could be merely the result of lies, misinformation, or mistaken identity...
However! What if we are (and maybe were from the very start) dealing with at least two or multiple very similar lizards - perhaps siblings - who have bad behavior and try to manipulate Squamata to follow them in the ways of evil?
Of course, this is nothing but a crazy hypothesis that is likely not true, I only wanted to share it.
Please do not use this to disrespect Palaeosaniwa individuals that resemble R4don.

I think the Chicxulub Asteroid Impact, which - according to relatively recent research - hit Earth during springtime of the Northern Hemisphere, could be a early event in the subreddit.
We could chose a date in spring (maybe at the end of it, or not) and roleplay the impact, and maybe have its aftermath take a whole week. Then after we go back to normal like nothing happened, haha.
I just had this idea while talking to u/Tricky-Shake-2379 (Azulite the Palaeosaniwa canadensis).
I think it is interesting, because of course there is always the lingering joke of the iconic impact, but it would be melancholic (and obviously unfair to Hell Creek's vast paleogeological history) to just end the subreddit at once and for all someday.
I can't be the only one who has ever thought this...can I ?
