One of my ferals had a baby

A feral that I've been caring for had a baby in our shed. I intend on getting mom spayed when my work schedule permits (late July). We are keeping the shed closed for safety reasons (dog). Part of the roof fell off so there's plenty of exposure to fresh air. Mom is able to enter the shed without any issues.

My dad wants to leave the kitten be since mom is caring for it. The question is how long will mom care for the kitten before going her own way.

I'm guessing the kitten is several weeks old. Didn't see it last time I opened the shed.

Does the NYPD actually respond to reports of animal abuse?

I reported a neighbor who leaves their dog unattended in a crate 24/7. I'm very worried for the dog considering this extreme heat we've been having.

Months ago, I reported someone after witnessing their dog, who was severely malnourished, and roaming the streets. The cops didn't show til says later and did nothing.

I was wondering whether the cops actually do anything. Do they just knock on the door and leave after two minutes? Can anyone share their experienc involving this matter?

Thanks

What sorts of isopods would do well in an arid enclosure?

I'm considering purchasing a new enclosure for my three Berber toads. What sorts of isopods would do well as a cleanup crew in an arid enclosure? Thanks in advance.

Am I making progress?

Nearly a year ago, a litter of kittens decided to make my side yard their home. I'm interested in taking in the little one in the photo, if he or she chooses to stay. It shows up at my door for breakfast and afternoon snacks. Ten minutes ago, it meowed at me for the first time.

Is it normal for ferals to meow? If not, is it indicative that the cat is growing to trust me?

Ear residue

There is some unknown residue in my girl's ears. It looks like blood on the surface but the residue is brown. We've been having to clean her ears every evening. She seems to enjoy it but it worries me.

Any ideas?

To everyone on this sub. I really enjoy writing and use Reddit as an escape. This is one of the few subs where I don't encounter assholes. Thanks guys.

I'd like to take you all to the Discovery Zone on Fordham. First thing i need to know is whether the area is safe.

Recently watched a five part documentary about New Labour. The documentary covered a lot but there was little information covering the transition. I'm not from the UK, so my knowledge of what had been going on during that period is limited.

Why did Blair resign in 2007 rather than straight after the 2005 GE?

I have a total of ten pets-- a dog, cat, leopard gecko, frogs, and toads. Other than my gecko, the dog has been with us the longest. Our dog gets the bulk of the attention. The cat is virtually ignored unless I'm home. Even when I'm home, I find it difficult to interact with her. For example, petting the cat for more than 30 seconds results in a bite.

We're contemplating getting another cat so she has a buddy BUT.... I really want a dog. I won't be able to cope with my dog gone. No more walks, no more howling, no more missing socks.

Is this normal?

Hey all, last year I was diagnosed with a herniated disc. The disc was pressing against the nerve, which resulted in severe leg pain. I no longer experience leg pain. Nevertheless, there is a lingering numbness in my right foot.

Orthopedist stated that there was nothing they could do ither than refer me to physical therapy. I did physical therapy last year and it didn't help at all. I can't deal with the numbness anymore.

Can anyone give me some advice?
