Nokian Outpost NAT Narrow rim width range (going half inch over recommended max width)

Nokian Outpost NAT Narrow rim width range (going half inch over recommended max width)

I bought a 275/70/18LT Nokian Outpost NAT for my 18x9 wheels. Just realized the max width for this specific size is 8.5".

Which is weird cuz other 265 and 275 sizes are between 7" and 9.5". I'm sure there's an engineering level answer to it. But would I be okay?

Airdown (Tires beyond max rim width)

I just bought 275/70/18LT Nokian Outpost NAT, for some reason the manufacturer max rim width for this specific size is 8.5" while the rest of 265 and 275 in the 18" diameter can run between 7.5"-9.5", the tire shop that I went with said it should be good with my 9" wheels.

Will I be okay airing it down? If yes, what's the limit that I shouldn't go under?

This or that? (Nissan Armada Pro4x)

Im stuck between this first two. Originally ordered the Enkei Trail Cross (Bronze) but it only comes in 9" rim width.

I want to install Nokian Outpost NAT (275/70/18) but the max width is 8.5"

Going half inch over tire manufacturer's recommended rim width

Looking to buy a 275/70/18 Nokian Outpost NAT for my 18x9 wheels. Just realized the max width for this specific size is 8.5".

Which is weird cuz other 265 and 275 sizes are between 9" and 9.5". I'm sure there's an engineering level answer to it. But would I be okay?

If not, I'll probably switch to Nitto Terra Grapplers G3s, they will fit up to 9.5" plus they will be SLs.

ONR wash before applying Ceramic coat the next day?

I did a full wash, clay bar, and a 2 stage polish. For some reason I decided not to use an IPA solution and go for an actual panel prep. Ordered OPT panel prep spray from Amazon and will be here the next morning.

Reason being, there's a lot of exposed rubber seals and plastic trims that I didn't tape off like an idiot. It's now covered with compound, and I don't want to risk drying it out by spraying IPA solution.

Question, should I do a quick ONR wash if the car is going to be sitting in the garage overnight?

Also whats the best way to clean compound from rubber seals and plastic trims? I can probably use the OPT panel prep spray, but it won't get in til tomorrow.

Was it a mistake or trying to pocket that extra $$

Bought a vehicle last Feb 2026 and still on my temp plates waiting on title complete notice from the DMV.

I've bought three cars in the past year and all of them were registered under 1.5 month

Last month they called me to get information regarding the trade in vehicle lienholder on which it was provided to them during signing. It was again provided to the finance manager via text last March.

They finally paid the remaining balance for the trade in two weeks ago so I called the bank to get status on the overpayment check since Ive been paying ($550/month) all this time. I was shocked to hear that I was only getting $45 back and found out that they only paid $30,500 instead of the $32,500 that was on our contract.

Never going back to this dealership, they also delivered me a vehicle that had a ton of scratches for a new car. I picked it up at night so I didnt see them. They knew I was interested in that specific VIN and was in talks with them for a week.

Colorado to Calgary (3 days between MT and WY) [EV Friendly routes please]

We are driving from Colorado to Calgary but would like to take our time driving up north and see places. We will be making this journey with two other kids (8yo and 5yo).

Per ABRP, we will be stopping at the following cities to charge our EV:

  • Wheatland, WY
  • Evansville, WY
  • Buffalo, WY
  • Billings, MT
  • Big Timber, MT
  • Great, Fall MT (Last stop before crossing the border)

Preferably we would like to go somewhere in the vicinity of these stops. It can be adjusted though as long as it won't take us more than 3 days to get to Calgary.

I'm big on outdoors which is what MT and WY has to offer, unfortunately they don't share that fondness with me. They will do hikes, but they won't go on a 5 mile hike. Maybe an up-close experience with Bisons or Buffalos?

Thank you!

EDIT:

Tentative Plan:

  • Stop by Terry Bison Ranch in Cheyenne, WY. Spend Half a day then drive to either Billings, MT to stay for a night.
  • Drive 3 hours from Billings, MT to Bozeman, MT for their Hot Springs.
  • Spend half a day at the hot springs then drive to Great Falls, MT to stay for a night.
  • Finish our drive to Calgary?

Just bought CCK KF1203 cleaver

How do I sharpen this? Per the website, since it's a dual purpose the bottom portion is thicker made for chopping.

Do I adjust to a steeper angle once I get to the top half?
