I've been using the modem that was provided by TPG when i signed up more than 7 years ago. It works fine for day today stuff, but doesnt seem to like streaming youtube. Works fine with netflix, apple tv and amazon prime.

Checking the download speeds I get about 550mbps with the current one. I know that is more than enough for streaming, but youtube seems to be a problem.

TPG recommended that I should change the modem.

A mate had the TP Link a6000. Is that the one to get or is there something better out there.

3 person household and we do tend to use multiple screens at the same time. No gaming.

Why is it acceptable in kids’ sport that parent coaches will unduly favour their own kids at the cost of others.

How can you be so blatant? I can only assume this is an acceptable practice because in years of ferrying my kids to sport for various teams, I’m yet to come across a totally fair coach.

Volunteering by its definition should be a selfless act. Most parent coaches are in it to give their kids more chances.

Planning to hike lates Nov 2026.

I'm not a hiker but I have quite a bit of experience of travelling to high altitude regions. Have ridden motorbikes to similar heights in the Ladakh region of India.

My question is around perspiration.

I (M mid 40s) sweat a lot. How can I manage that?

To start with, I plan to not wear base layers when I walk and to put them on first thing when we reach the destination for the day. Is that even feasible? If not, how else should I manage this?

What sort of undies are recommended? Marino? Or something like tights that many of us wear while running?

I'm sure I'll have many more questions, but this is the very first thing that came to my mind given my excessive perspiration.

Plan to get a porter/guide amongst the two of us. Mainly to support try and support local people.

Looking to do the EBC trek later this year. I'm at the very early stages of planning what gear to carry along.

Essentially, the question is if a 18-50mm APSC (28-75mm full frame) range will be enough? Wanting to limit the gear I have to carry. I do have a 70-300 (APSC) lens but unsure if I should take it along.

Just overtook a Ute driving at 70 in an 80 kmph zone inside a tunnel.

Driver was silting casually with his right hand rubbing his stubble and left hand coming across the steering wheel towards the a pillar. Phone pointed at the a pillar with some sort of a video playing (most likely some short) and this farker casually scrolling on the screen.

You as stupid and a real danger to other road users. Someone might be seriously injured or worse due to your fuckwitness.

I’m looking for growth after spending 7 years in my current role. Extensive experience in budgeting and management accounting. Applied for a couple of roles with one being pretty much my existing role at one level above.

Didn’t even get an interview call.

Been on panels myself and I would’ve found it hard to not call someone with a strong application for an interview at least.

I applied for a few roles last time I was in the market. Got multiple interviews and was offered a couple of roles before I settled for my existing one.

Not entirely sure what’s going on?

Did they already have a suitable candidate? Or is my age now working against me?
