Unpublished writers, what scene are you most worried about the movie botching?

Because it's definitely going to be a movie, and this is what I think about at work and in the shower.

Light spotting... very early period or pregnancy? Negative test

My husband and I are trying, but I can't remember exactly the days we had sex.

Today, I realized I had some very light smears of blood on my underwear. The flow was light and not exactly what its usually like. Also, I'm lightly cramping, but that's normal for period so idk.

Took a pregnancy test (it doesn't specify early detection) and it was negative. Already cried my eyes out because I'm so so hormonal today. I want to be pregnant so bad but it feels like a good chance it's my period?

I just got off Nexplanon a few months ago. My period is usually pretty far apart, at least 5 weeks, and my last one just ended 3 weeks ago. My period tracker says I should be ovulating later this week, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. I use Clue.

Is it true that genes that affect a species after reproduction don't really matter?

Like silver / receding hair. It occurs after people have hit their prime and reproduced, so that's not on the human species's to-do list to fix.

I'm not good with biology, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

What do you think of desk placement and litter box? (+ cat tax)

The couch is cozy af but I dont know how I feel about the desk, because my back is to the door. Outside the door is a restroom and the front door of my apartment, so there's a lot of energy nearby!!

The lack of outlets also hinders...

I probably didn't come up with this, but another post (now locked for using A*I*) reminded me of it.

My example is: Simile Jail!

You really like similies, right? But your readers wanna gouge out their eyes? That's when you use Simile Jail!

You just cut and paste all your similes into another doc, so you're not really deleting them. They're still there, all cool-sounding, for inspiration. The really good ones can come back maybe, and your editor thanks you for leveling up your writing! (You do NOT share Simile Jail with your editor!!!)

My habaneros and tomatillos have been less than an inch tall for the last month or two. Maybe because it's been a bit chilly and rainy. (They were growing on the balcony) And I didnt realize I should fertilize seedlings...

Anyway, I put them in the ground yesterday because the old guy who manages the community garden was judging me for the empty space. At the end of the row are two large jalapeno plants that I overwintered and planted in the ground a few weeks ago.

What fertilizers do you recommend? How often should I fertilize? I don't live in America so I can't find the popular brands I see on this sub. Also, is it okay to fertilize starting now if I just planted them?

Thanks in advance!

The doctor didn't really speak English so I'm a bit confused. They'll be using the data when I report back in a month and half, but in the meantime, I'm curious about what's normal or not. I found some contradictory information online about what's a "normal" number.

How do you know it the number gets too low? I think it got down to like 70 something before I had a snack. And it went up to like 170 something after lunch. Sorry if it's a dumb question, but does it normally do that?

In the first place, I'm not sure if giving me the Dexom is an overreaction. All I said was that eating fruit without something like peanut butter makes me sick, and I get really nauseous in the morning and between meals. But I feel like they're going to tell me I'm just a little bitch with normal blood sugar.

Sorry if this goes against the rules of the sub, and thank you in advance!

Edit: it was 70 something, not 30 something! My bad

Today's my third day going to this hospital. Yesterday was some tests. They were absolutely horrible. I'm not sure if it's different in other countries, but in Japan some tests included:

- some kind of electrode on my neck and forehead, and I had to turn my head while listening to loud sounds in headphones

- telling the nurse when to stop rotating the glowing stick, so that it points up (in complete darkness)

- standing still on a thing that records my shift in body movement (and then again in darkness)

- eye movement detector goggles, but in a spinning chair (and again in darkness)

- same goggles, but I need to look at a glowing dot on the ceiling

- cold air shot into my ear for like a minute to induce nausea and dizziness while wearing the goggles

It sounds fine but it was not. The cold air absolutely took me out. Has anyone else done these tests?

It's amazing that this department specializes in dizziness and I feel so privileged to have access to these tests, even though I'm still sick from them.

In an hour or so, I'll see the results with the doctor. (And they gave me a translator!!)

I'm so tired of my greasy hair!! By the end of the day, my bangs are clumped and stringy. Dry shampoo doesn't help because I need so much of it. I feel like the can lasts a week or two, tops.

I found some advice online but can't make heads or tails of it. I live in Japan and the products just don't exist here. I don't have a big budget for shipping and don't live near Tokyo where I can get foreign products easily.

Currently, I use "Diane Extra Scalp and Volume" shampoo and conditioner every other night. Every morning, I use "Pro Style Mist Shower Heat care and styling" spray, then blow dry it. Then I put some dry shampoo, comb it through to get rid of the spray's residue, and use an iron to give my hair a wave. (Which usually looks cute, but today looks awful!)

Then I bike to work. On days like today where it's high humidity, it's completely limp and oily after an hour.

These photos are after a full work day, and it rained this morning. I'm a total beginner to styling, and am growing out a pixie.

Any advice??
