Looking for advice: feeling so far from weaning

Looking for advice. My 10.5 month old feels ssooooooo far from weaning and I desperately need to stop lactating. He used to be great at solids and then had a regression at 8 months and now gets support from early intervention for food stuff. I’m really not sure what it is - he has strong opinions about food and can only sit for a little bit without getting distracted or frustrated. Maybe we are cutting things wrong or giving too much milk. I think there may be some attention or sensory adjacent issues but I’m really not sure. I have been looking forward to 1 years old as a cut off for lactation and it feels like there is no end in sight.

Would appreciate folks advise, especially if you’ve had similar experience

Rec for professional carpet cleaning to get rid of fleas

Our cats had fleas and we need to clean a carpet that used to belong to my grandma. Any recs on where to bring it? We called around but are having trouble finding somewhere that does this kind of pest control/cleaning!

Infant Responding to Name

At what age should you be concerned that your infant isn’t responding to their name? Our pediatrician says by 1 years old, but CDC says 9 months. Our kiddo is 9.5 months super engaged but definitely does not respond to name. Thoughts, experiences, tips welcome!

Did your baby do a milestone and then pause it and come back to it?

New parent here and trying to understand baby milestones and when to be concerned vs what is nonlinear expected developmental stuff. Our kiddo had a week around 7 month they were high fiving everyone now they have stopped and do high fives occasionally. Similarly around 8 months they were clapping all the time. They would sit up on their own and clap for themselves and now they’ve stopped clapping almost entirely. Is this just part of the nonlinear process? When is it considered a regression or concern? Not asking because I have a particular concern, just curious what to expect and also want to enjoy and support kiddo in whatever his process is! Thanks in advance!

Feeling Conflicted

Looking for advice. My LO is 9 mos and we have been doing mostly exclusive pumping till about a month ago. We recently added in a similac soy. We use soy bc of a dairy allergy (diagnosed by doctor at 4 mos, also around when he stopped nursing). I am ready to wean from pumping for my mental health, but we got a recent lead test that was slightly elevated (2.3; the pediatrician says we should aim for less than 2). I read a consumer report that soy and hypoallergenic formulas have more lead than other formulas so now (in addition to cleaning and testing everything in the house) I am feeling wary of switching to the soy formula. We chose soy similac bc it was one of the better rated dairy free formulas on the consumer report’s list - but still moderate in term of potential lead levels. Struggling with all the decisions here and would appreciate gentleness, advice, perspective!

*Edit: after a month of regular soy supplementation, today LO’s poop is diarrhea like and I’m worried what we thought was just cmpa is also a soy sensitivity. He seems fine with soy in my breast milk and tofu, but maybe full formula feeds of soy are too much? Sorry I know this post took multiple turns! Feeling at square one all around and would appreciate support!

Solid Food Regression 8 months

Hello! My baby turning 9 months recently. Between 5-8 months he was an excited self-feeder who would spend lots of time in his high chair exploring a variety of foods, flavors, textures. Then around 8 months he got sick around the same time as popping his first tooth and everything seemed to change. He now sits for maybe 3-5 minutes if we are lucky - often much less - and will touch a couple pieces of food- mostly only going for beige (bread, pasta, potato product) and push food on the floor. He’ll sometimes feed himself pouches on the go. We’ve also had a little luck having him sit in our lap, standing with him on our hip and eating at the counter, or eating on his play mat together but nothing like he used to do. Trying to keep things fun and stress free, but I feel a little worried this is a major regression. One additional note is he is in daycare 3 days a week. They do spoon feeding with him, which he has never been very into. We asked them to take a self-feeding approach (pour/put food on tray so he can feed himself) and they say he will big time cry sometimes if his hand touches the food. So now we let them just do their usual thing to prevent negative food associations that may be influencing home. Any similar experiences? Is this normal or unusual? Tips or tricks? Thank you!
