scrubbing after nail removal

has anyone else ever been told to scrub the scab off of their toe after ingrown removal? like by their doctor? this doesn’t sound right to me😭 my office told me, AND I QUOTE, “scrub as hard as you can, it’s going to hurt, and it’s going to bleed.”

don’t ever google it

i was diagnosed with SIBO in december of 2025, and i’ve done two rounds of antibiotics to treat it, and since then ive lived a pretty average life. i do rely heavily on imodium for said average life, but the bloating and everything else is a thing of the past. it’s important to note i’ve always had a sensitive stomach. tonight i’m fighting for my life (iykyk). i was experiencing stomach pain and gas like i hadn’t experienced in months, and i was concerned my dinner gave me food poisoning, so i googled my symptoms, and what came up? SIBO. i’m finally starting to feel better physically, but now the thought of reoccurrence is simply all i can think about. i hate it here. anyone else?

the parasite and imodium.

okay so, i have IBS-D, GERD, and a history of SIBO. i very frequently take imodium in order to live a normal life. unfortunately, i also have OCD. with this parasite going around i’ve been very paranoid. that being said, my stomach is upset today, and i’m scared that i actually have the parasite and don’t know, and if i take imodium as usual, ill never know i have it. not sure if any of that makes sense. that being said, would imodium prevent me from knowing i have a parasite? or would the parasite overpower the imodium?

i’m so scared

i (21 years old) have had a severe bug phobia for as long as i can remember. as a child it was just a quirky detail about me. however, as an adult, its ruining my life. i live in an older house in Texas, where we get the biggest of the bugs. last week a sprinkler busted in our yard, and im not sure if its related but ever since then there have been so many bugs getting in. i can deal with the small beetles, the ants, and things like that. what i absolutely can’t handle is that the massive Texas cockroaches have been getting in. i’ve seen 5 this week. i’m living in a constant state of panic. i can’t sleep, i can’t move. we’re treating the yard tomorrow but i haven’t slept in days.

help me i’m so scared

hi, i live in north texas, and last week i had a sprinkler bust in my yard. ever since then, i have been getting the biggest cockroaches (not german) i’ve ever seen in my house. there’s been three this week. i have a severe phobia of bugs (no hate to bugs, it’s not them it’s me), and this is preventing me from sleeping at night. im not sure if the sprinkler is related but i thought it was worth mentioning. what is the best way to get rid of them?

bug bite hives

has anyone else had hives that look like bug bites? today i freaked out because i woke up with what looked like bug bites all over my legs, and throughout the day it spread to my arms and face as well as my scalp. i wondered if i somehow got attacked by bugs in my sleep, checked my bed for bed bugs, and it seems like my MCAS is the only possibility.

fake reoccurrence

i posted so very recently about how i’m paranoid about a sibo reoccurrence, and after speaking with my GI, he wants me on another round of antibiotics. i have a wonderful GI so i trust his opinion, but i don’t trust myself. has anyone else ever been afraid to take the antibiotics because you’re worried you don’t actually need them? just started the round tho, so im already locked in.

i was treated for sibo in december of 2025, and i actually had pretty good luck in my treatment. i do still have stomach issues but i dont have the chronic diarrhea i had before. however, i was wondering if anyone else has developed actual trauma because of sibo? im talking panic attacks and nausea and sweating anytime i have a stomach ache. then it gets worse because im horrified ill develop sibo again. especially with the conditions high reoccurrence rate. is anyone else going through this? and does anyone have any tips on coping with it?
