In spite of already being highly annoying and anxiety inducing because of inconsistency of sizing, this activity also made me sweat like I was taking a Zumba class. I must do bigg soo. I getz put in the vroom-vroom an goes to kittay vet. They do big shaves on my haunches an belly an pitz and borthole. An my pri-mor-dee-all paunch is abailable for all to see. Now, meemaowy is making plans with a groomber to finish this. Someting called a "Lion Cut." I am not a lion. I am an indoor kittay. No more of dis nonsense. Stop, in the name of the laws, I say. I am not allowing pics at dis time.

(Meemawowy here. Smush was getting badly matted, and would not let me de-mat her. She is very spicy with the brush and other tools, but fine with a buzzer, lol. The vet did a de-mat shave, I'm bringing her to the groomer to style it better. I wouldn't shave her, but it was bad.)

My Neb hates to be brushed. The murder mitts come out full force and she also bites. I have long leather gloves and had a helper. I've tried every brush on the market. I've tried gabapentin. It is very tough. I got her at five years old. Who knows what she went through in her prior life? I know she had ringworm when she went to the shelter and had been shaved.
Needless to say, she has matted fur, no matter how hard I tey. I called the vet and asked about having them shave the mats out and if they would do it under anesthesia. They said not necessarily. They will try without first and they usually can do it, even with the spicy cats. So - yay! They said they have a team and "It takes a village!" I love that attitude. I'll let you know how Miss Smushcat does.
My cats are maniacal over butter - Stick, tub, any form.
I think I will get them their own tub so they can have a lick in the morning and be done and mine will stay sanitary and cat saliva-free, lol.
