I'm about to launch my first Meta lead generation campaign for website design/development services and wanted to get some feedback before I spend money.

My initial plan is to target local service businesses in New Mexico (roofers, HVAC, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, etc.), even though I can work with businesses anywhere in the US. I thought starting with one state might make it easier to test and optimize.

A few questions:

1.Is New Mexico a reasonable market to start with, or would you recommend another state?

2.Which small business niches have you found to be the easiest to generate website leads for?

3.Is a $35/day budget enough to collect meaningful data for a first campaign?

4.Would you focus on lead forms or send traffic to a landing page instead?

5.If you've run similar campaigns, what CPL (cost per lead) would you consider realistic?

I'm not looking for shortcuts just trying to avoid beginner mistakes and learn from people who've already tested this.

I think that at this point, most people are using Al in some way. The more interesting question is where you've really given up control and where you still don't trust it.

Are you using it to write and publish, or just to get ideas that you rewrite anyway? Do you let it touch your emails, ads, and strategy? Or is it more of a tool for research and brainstorming that you keep away from anything that has to do with clients?

Where do you draw the line, and why?
