Which hairstyle is better?

1-3 is side swept (more recent)
4-6 is more like regular bangs (had this style a year or 2 ago)
Wanting a more mature look, but slide 5 I would not get the long fringe hanging on the side of my bangs, would make it shorter to accentuate my cheekbones

Just turned 21, got a pack, broke them the next day

My first hit of nicotine was when I was 12, I started to consistently smoke and began getting addicted a month or 2 before I turned 14.

It has been an ongoing cycle of wanting to smoke and wanting to quit. The longest I’ve gone without was 6 months. My brain makes every excuse possible to smoke a cigarette. What broke that 6 month streak was a thanksgiving event with family who also smoke. Told myself just this one day and no more since I’m with family, smoking weed, and drinking. Have since been battling for 3-4 years since that happened. But have not bought my own pack or vape.

I would find my ways around it, either sneaking one from my father when I lived with him. Asking a friend or coworker for one knowing they would not mind. Asking for one when I’m with family. Ex-roommate who used to smoke would give them to me as well. Told this roommate to not give me any and he stuck to that. But my selfishness, disrespect, and lack of discipline or care stemming from these cravings would push me to steal one anyways. Daily.

Since roommate moved out I now smoke a cigarette once a week when I meet up with a particular friend. I tell myself it’s okay to do so because I’m not buying them myself (making me more likely to smoke). I don’t think of a cigarette once I wake up. It does not enter my mind daily. I justify everything possible to make myself feel like it is okay to smoke this one cigarette.

I bought a pack last night, said it’s just for my 21st. Got off of work today thinking about that pack I got. Telling myself I should not smoke one, only leave it for a weekend night or when out with friends. Wondering, if you smoke this you may enter a cycle of buying a pack after your out. I smoked one anyways, giving into the craving even though I have an awareness that I can choose not to and go past the cravings. Listening to the rain as I smoke it with a glove on my hand to try and mask the disgusting smell it leaves on your fingers (as well as the feeling) so my boyfriend does not know. Thinking of how these cravings give me anxiety. About how pitiful it is to give into these cravings knowing I have this glove on so my boyfriend does not smell it on me. Not wanting to feel judgment coming from him when it is a simple concern for my health and future well being. I break up about 16 cigarettes as much as possible so my fiend ass doesn’t end up going in the trash to find a decently sized cig to smoke.

I do not want to start casually smoking again. I do not want to hide this from him. I do not want to go through this cycle every day until I die or for even the rest of this year. It is ridiculous how much of a hold a single cigarette has over my brain. I view myself breaking these cigarettes a step forward. Hopefully I can post in this subreddit I have been clean from cigarettes for 3 months. I plan on telling my partner what I did, that I bought a pack and broke it. I hate hiding this side of me. Telling him what I did I feel will help me move forward and resist an urge to smoke or buy another pack.

Just thought it would be nice to share this and get something off my chest to an audience who too has an interest in quitting.

For acupuncturists that “regret” their career

What career do you wish you chose? And why? Why do you dislike acupuncture so much? If it’s not fulfilling for you? Before you went into acupuncture did you have a sense that this career and lifestyle would fulfill you? Like there’s no other career that seems as satisfying as acupuncture

NOTE: I am not a practitioner yet, I am finishing my associates right now! I still have 4 years to go. Becoming an acupuncturist has been a part of my dream for 3-4 years and nothing has necessarily swayed me enough to the point where I’m planning a different future and routine around a career other than acupuncture.

Where do you live specifically as well, city and state.
How much did you make when you first entered acupuncture and what year was this?
Do you work for a company, or own your own practice

Meal prep for the week (was made on Sunday)

Smoked rump roasts to make roast beef sandwiches. Smoked ciabatta bread (could’ve came out better but first time making a super airy bread) and deconstructed spring rolls lol. Was going to make spring rolls but BF and I don’t care for cold lunches. Shrimp and beef are the proteins.

Smoked chicken meal prep (lunch) and “lunchable” ready pizzas (dinner) frittata breakfast

Pre cooked the dough at home in the smoker. When we get home we just put the toppings on and cook in the oven. My pizzas have wheat flour in them, BF has regular dough

First Time Baking Crème Brûlée

Bottom middle is an orange crème brûlée. Any recommendations as to how to make the orange crème brûlée custard mix less liquidy? It was a last minute decision, put juice straight into the “orange ramekin”. I think I put too much of it in there and a zest would be better than just juice.

Trip to WV

Hello, I’m from Columbus OH, I plan on going to WV August 15-16 maybe one extra day (14 or 17) for my 21st birthday. I was wondering if any locals to WV could give me some good ideas as to what I should do. I definitely want to visit a national park, maybe a cave, I’m thinking of whitewater rafting or kayaking. Gonna stay in an air bnb and was wondering which city I should stay in. Down for a festival to hang at the end of the night get a couple drinks since I’ll be 21.

Is the FB sonic temple buy/sell exchange legit? I’m trying to sell some tickets and have hit up 3 different admins on there to get verified so they can post my shit. They want me to give them a $25 fee, seems weird. And each time they respond it’s like some AI generated shit. Like: CONGRATULATIONS ✅ your tickets have been verified. Next steps: ….

If anyone has some good tips on how to get rid of these damn tickets let me know please!!
