Enjoying this world without feeling guilty?

I want to know how you enjoy this world without feeling guilty you’re enjoying this world too much?

These past few years I got serious about my Deen but then found myself not enjoying this world. Now I can help but feel like I’m missing out.

I never go anywhere or do the types of things I used to enjoy. I didn’t exactly do haram things. I used to enjoy going on days out and i just don’t do that anymore because i have to prioritise my prayers and I don’t like doing wudu in public places, so I just stay home.

This is going to sound so bad but I actually look forward to my menstrual cycle because it gives me a few days off from praying and I can spend longer outside of the house without feeling guilty.

I’ve been struggling with my mental health a lot and recently started listening to music again. It distracts me from my problem a little bit and of course I feel guilty for listening to music.

I also have no friends nearby who I can enjoy a few hours with. I stopped talking to my be fiend over 10 years ago and regret it.

I’m just so sick and tired of life and have been asking Allah SWT to take my soul back. If I could commit suicide I would have done it already.

Sewing my first project - tips please

So I’ve purchased my fabric today and I think I’ve got all the other bits I need to start sewing.

I plan on sewing a long and oversized dress like this, full length with full length sleeves.

I think I might trace an existing one I have to make it easier.

Can I please have your tips for how you would cut this?

How would you cut the sleeves and make sure you’ve got the right size hole for the sleeves to attached to the arm of the dress?

Im feeling a little overwhelmed 😅

Does creating an alias email address for my branded social media accounts count as a business?

Hi Tuta! If I created an alias email address with a brand I’m going to build on Instagram and TikTok, would this mean I have to purchase a business subscription?

Or am I allowed to use the alias for my brand as long as I do not turn it into a business where I earn money from it?

I essentially just want to create content under this brand.

Please advise me :)

Got my first sewing machine!!!

So yesterday I posted in this group asking for suggestions of what I can start to sew by hand.

Today I managed to buy this sewing machine from the shop I volunteer at for just £30! 😍😍😍

I also got a bag full of patterns, lots of thread and bobbins and some needles too! I’m so excited I can start this hobby now 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Has anyone used this Brother XL-222ONT? Please can you tell me your experiences with it?

Thank you ☺️

Hand sewing project ideas

So I think I know which sewing machine I want to get. I’ll need to save about £300 for it though so I won’t be able to buy it any time soon 😭

I wanted to ask if anyone here sews by hand? If so, what beginner projects or patterns do you suggest I try?

I’m not too fussed about whether it’s a clothing item or cushion cover. I just wanna get creative but don’t know where to start.

Who is Agnes’s makeup artist?

Just finished re-watching TT and I’d really like to know who the makeup artist is so I can see what makeup was used and how it was done. I really love how natural it is.

Does anyone have any ideas? 💡

Edit - it’s Burton LeBlanc!

Edit 2: I don’t think it is Burton LeBlanc. If anyone finds out, please let me know! :)

Who will Garth marry?

Watched the latest ep and OMG that was my fave by far.

Question: Now that Becka has been taken by the eyes 👀 do you reckon Agnes has a chance to marry Garth? Or do you reckon Daisy will marry him?

If Garth can’t marry Becka any more, and he needs to be set up with someone else, do you reckon that could be Daisy since she still needs to be matched with someone? 👀👀👀👀

Let me know your thoughts. Can’t wait for the next ep 😅

What to cut long garden weed and stinging nettles with?

Hi! I have really long stinging nettles growing in my garden and I want to cut them down. Will a pruner be good for this? Or can you tell me the name of another tool?

I plan to cut the stinging nettles down then I’ll get the roots out. I’ve got a weed fork, it’s just the cutting tool that I’m after.

Will the one in the photo do that job okay?

Thank you

Hello! I'm new here. I've always wanted to write a novel but never committed. Now I'm working on a plot which I'm hoping I'll turn into my first novel. I might be getting ahead of myself, but i'm thinking of self-publishing.

I wanted to ask how much success you've had with self-publishing your books? How possible is it to earn a good income, enough to never have to worry about finding employment because every job you apply for insists on experience? 😅

Of course the most important thing is to write a book people will actually want to read. but say i get the point of self-publishing.... come on, burst my bubble...

Can anyone here recommend a secure and encrypted platform where I can write and store my creative writing?

Is there any platform built specifically for authors and creative writers?

I want a long form writing platform where I can keep my writing encrypted.

I’m going to use it for writing and storing my fiction stories. I don’t trust Google to keep them safe 😅

Any recommendations?

I once read/heard that it’s not okay to have Quran verses as decor on walls. Instead we should recite them.

My mum recently told me to keep Ayat al-kursi in various places in my home, but this is shirk. I thought it would be nice to display a beautiful frame of this Ayat by a calligraphy artist on my walls.

Any advice?
