Most efficient way to import a MIDI file containing all drums/snares/kicks?

I got a MIDI drum file that I want to import into FL studio - however when I try to import the midi file into the piano roll, it imports ALL of the recorded MIDI notes as the kick drum.

All of the midi data is imported into one piano roll- so it just spams the kick drum at different notes.

I don't want to manually copy and paste each line of MIDI notes into it's own piano roll- I assume there's some way to do this that isn't manually copy/pasting?

Is there a plugin that makes this easier/quicker? I'm trying to cover a song(vocals, guitar, bass) and want to use a midi file for the drums since I don't play drums or have much experience programming them.

Is this the type of thing that a plugin like Addictive Drums can do? Or is that plugin mostly just a sampler?

Thanks.

Just found out Rick Beato is my father (my mom recognized him when I was watching his video) but he won't answer our emails

Was just sitting in the kitchen/livingroom/mom's bedroom part of the house watching one of Rick's lists on my ipod touch and my walks buy and says "Who is that? Looks like your dad, at least If your dad stuck around, he'd look exactly like that."

My dad also used to play guitar and his name started with an R. Before he went to "jail" (that's what he told my mom- but then we find the guy on Youtube?).

My dad never told us he had a youtube channel or a music degree, or a platinum record. He never mentioned it.

He just one day said "i'm going to jail" and then left. So what the heck dad? Or should I say "Rick", if that's even your real name?

He even named me Dylan(well he tried to, but my mom said "no" so they named me "Beatle" instead. they had really high hopes for me)- then I see the guy on youtube talking about "Dylan, my ONLY son in the world, has perfect pitch" and "i love my family" and yada yada. I don't even play guitar but if he never left us I'd probably be fucking shredding by now.

Do you guys think he replaced after he met a kid who had perfect pitch? Me too.

So, I'm 99% sure he is my dad but he won't respond to any of my emails requesting a DNA test. My mom sent him a couple dozen emails too. No response.

And the guy's always talking about "i get probably 200 offers per day in my emails, i read all of them" then why aren't you responding to your family? Why don't you ever talk about us on your videos?

Please help me get my dad's attention. I have a lot of musical potential, I just need him to see it first.

What do I need to give you for just one guitar lesson, dad? I'll be the prodigy son you've always wanted.

- Your son, Beatle.

Does overcoming addiction/temptation make you cool?

if you're currently sober/haven't returned to your addiction of choice(whether drugs, some habit, behavior- anything), do you feel cooler than you did before you were addicted?

I notice some people are afraid of stopping their addiction because they don't want to return to the feelings/life/person they were before they started using their specific coping mechanism- but is it even possible to return to who you were before? or do you always turn into a new and improved version of yourself by learning to control it?

I see a lot of sober people, or anyone who has learned discipline/replaced bad habits, seem really great at being themselves. they seem extra creative, funny, open-minded, accepting, relaxed, etc...

I'm wondering what you guys think. thanks.

are you guys lathering your strings in vaseline or just regular lube?

this song i'm learning has a bunch of sliding around and stuff and i have dry skin (i dont use lotion or ANY feminine products). dry skin + sliding is making my finger skin feel funky and i want my fingers to slide smoother.

im thinking about trying vaseline since it's basically lotion but for guys, but, i also have a ton of extra lube sitting right next to me (i go through a ton of this stuff)

does anyone use vaseline, would it be bad on the strings/fretboard, is lube better? should i just dip my fingers in water every few minutes?

i also heard someone mention mineral oil- is that shit fire or what?

thanks

started tuning my own guitars and girls/old people find it really hot

just started playing pretty recently. my friend told me it took hours to tune his guitar so he paid his chud neighbor to do it whenever he wanted to play. so i just paid chud neighbor to tune mine too.

ever since i started tuning my own strings, ppl treat me like im the man. my mom (she's seen a guitar once) was impressed, she said "you really tune your own guitar? wow howd you learn that" so i said "dont worry about it" and walked away

my grandma even said "holy cow, you know how to tune that thing?" as i just sat their nonchalantly turning some pegs, actin like it's no big thing. i said "ye, u know how it is, learn some things here and there" and then hit a G chord and walked away

i pulled up a lawn chair outside my community college library, sat down with my amp/clip-on tuner, an un-tuned guitar, and some new sunglasses. i must have been out there a few hours just smoking cigarettes, popping zyns, sippin cokes from the vending machine, and tuning that thing up. i like taking my time and enjoying the process.

a few people stood around me just waiting for a song or something cuz i told them "i just gotta tune up first". this one girl waited 30m for me to tune up and goes "its really cool how you tune your own guitars" and i said "thanks" then she gave me her number. i smacked out a quick g chord for her before i walked away. should i text her now or in a few days so i seem nonchalant/not desperate?

Should I stop dating this girl for our political differences even though we get along great?

I met a beautiful girl a month ago and we've hung out a ton since. We have the same sense of humor, similar hobbies, she also plays guitar, she's extremely kind and appreciative, and her family is nice too.

Yesterday her dad invited me to his workshop and showed me around- he even hand-crafted me a brand new guitar. I couldn't believe it, me and his daughter aren't even dating. He gave it to me and told me he's happy he met me and really likes me. Her mom cooked a big lasagna dinner and I ate with their family.

Here's the thing- my parents and grandparents are undocumented illegal immigrants from mexico and the girl + her parents/siblings all voted for trump. Before leaving their place, I overheard her dad say "i don't hate immigrants- i just hate that they're illegal" to his brother on the phone, they argue politics a lot.

We're supposed to hang out again later this week. But now that I know she voted for trump, I realize that maybe she's not the kind/loving person I thought she was. Maybe my family is at risk.

Would this be a dealbreaker for you? Would you instantly ghost someone after this? Just looking to hear thoughts/opinions.

What production techniques are used in "forrest nolan - thank you i guess"?

I just found this song and love the production; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9ZmP35jWFQ

I wanted to know what type of techniques they used;

Chorus:

  1. It sounds like there's some type of audio ducking in the outro/chorus of the song, but I can't tell what sound is ducking what- is it the drums ducking the bass? It sounds fuckin bumpin

  2. How are his vocals so clear despite the instruments being so loud? Are they cutting out most of the mids on the instruments during the chorus?

Intro:

  1. How are his vocals also clear here even though the guitar sounds similar in pitch- is it just turned down a bit quieter than it is in the chorus?

Outro:

  1. Is the guitar ducking everything else in the outro? It is also fuckin bumpin

Let me know what techniques went into producing this song, I don't really know anything- this is just the first time production of a song stuck out to me

Low E on Pac612 sounds like chorus/weird overtones

In frets 9 and higher, the low E (and also a little in the A) string sounds like it has a chorus/doubling sound. It sounds like it has a dry throat and needs a glass of water. Listen here: https://vocaroo.com/190LzbqE8Zc2

It seems to ring out and sustain fine though. I checked and can't find any high or low frets- I have polished them several times to see if it's help.

There is visible clearance between the string and every high fret- it's not buzzing against any frets

I lowered the pickups, tried bowing the neck forward, back, and straight, tightened the trem block in the back, and adjusted the bridge for that string up/down.

It's perfectly intonated in every string and in tune.

The guitar did have 9 gauge strings on it when I bought it- I never tried them, I immediately put 10 gauge strings on before playing it. I also just put a brand new set of coated daddario 10 gauge strings on, so it isn't the strings causing it.

The nut is the graphtec one it came with and it looks like the string fits well and at a good height.

-

I've had it for a year and it's always sounded like this- but I wonder if it's because of my string gauge?

Please let me know what else I can do to troubleshoot, thanks.
