I went back!

I went back to the store my friend saw the load of vintage Fiestaware and snagged a few pieces. Unfortunately the footed bowl and casserole dishes were scooped up. I'll swing back this week and see what else they have because... Apparently the lady that donated them has MORE. A LOT MORE.

Sadly the vase wasn't Fiestaware but I got it anyway since I do collect other non HLC items like Hall and McCoy as long as they aren't gaudy

Why can't it be pay day....

A friend messaged me saying that a consignment/ thrift show down the road had some Fiestaware... Sadly I could only afford $50 so I made it work.

I'm normally a Fiestaware hunter, but now I'm getting hooked..

I popped up green with a 365 and 395 nm light, just couldn't get a decent picture for some reason. But for $6, I'll take it.

Question on roasted garlic/ garlic comfit

So I have a bunch of garlic cloves that needed to be used up. They are currently in a Dutch oven at 250 with olive oil and will just tuck away the majority of the day. The question is is there a way to can these without pressure canning? I understand they are a low acid food, but wondering about the fact they will be basically flying at 250 for several hours does that negate the need to pressure can, or not. If not I plan to vac pack and freeze or store in fridge.

Going through a bunch of old notes. Wondering is this worth anything over it just being a silver note.

▲ 143 r/Morgans

Long story short, we found two safes aty parents house that my dad had crammed full of coins. Talked with Mom and ultimately she wanted to sell so we sold a bunch of Eagles and platinum as well as tons of silver. But I found some Morgans and a good bunch looked good. A coin show was in town and ANACS was there offering $20 a coin. I figured why not. Here's half of what we had. We have some more and wondering is it worth it just to preserve for future (passing them down).
