givenergy flashing green light (power cut)

we have a planned power cut today courtesy of national grid

however the big battery unit has a flashing green light on it

trip switches all golden but the inverter digital display showing watts is blank

is it because the battery hasnt got enough juice to power the house (and its a very overcast day with black clouds.. of course it is after the melter of a summer we have had)

any ideas what to do or just wait till mr sunshine reappears?

rear tyre woes

was on the bike yesterday and felt a wobble, looked down and the tyre wall had failed with it bulging out

great!!

looks a complex job getting the tyre replaced without screwing up the gearing setup.. :(

ideas welcome!

as a side note its a 6 speed (2 speed on left shifter, 3 on right) however nothing happens when the left shifter is used no change in cadence?
