Questions about my manual transmission

So this was my first stick shift and I've gotten decent at driving it, but it's still very rough going into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears.

I thought I was bad at driving it, but I just drove a 2002 manual rav4, and it was a night and day difference in shifting into the first 3 gears. Now I'm wondering if there may be something wrong with my transmission, because I have never been able to get the scion I've been driving for months to shift as smooth as this car I just drove for the first time.

Anyone have any ideas? It's almost like I'm popping the clutch in 2nd and 3rd.

2006(?) Daihatsu Terios

Has anyone had any experience with these? My uncle bought this a few years ago with 23k KM on the odometer.

How rough of fruit would y'all be okay with using for Brandy?

I pick these off and in-law's tree, and some of them look like they have bad spots. Would you cut them off and use the rest or would you use the bad spots as well?

I have a mixture of pears, apples, and peaches.

Aging barrel outside?

I had the idea to kind of a communal barrel with my father in law. He lives next door and has a shelter house that's basically a screened in porch. That leads me to two questions:

1 - can I stare a barrel out there? It would mostly be sheltered from rain and sun, but no temperature control. Would the barrel get ruined if it got rain or snow on it?

2 - could I do a solara cask sort or thing with any success? Like fill it up an let it start aging, then every time we drink some of it we top it back up with more new make. That would hopefully keep a small barrel from over oaking, but maybe give something a little more complex than just making and completely draining the barrel.

3 - I can't count. If I did go that route, I'm thinking like a 5 gallon barrel. Would I be better off going for a traditional small barrel or one of those hybrid barrels like badmo?

Thanks

How do I remove scratches from my screen? Rubbed up against metal in my pocket...

I now have a case with a screen cover, but the old scratches are still there. Any way to minimize them?

Does anyone know what this cutout is for? 2nd gen

And get back here to get the fuel funnel and I've always wondered what the other cut out was for. Kind of looks like a stubby ratchet maybe?

How do you guys drive stick with a tummy ache?

Woke up this afternoon and my tummy hurts. Still need to run errands and get to work, so luckily I have a second car that's automatic.

For the guys that only have one car in manual, what do you do?

Lowe's still honors the lifetime warranty on old made in USA Craftsman tools

Took this socket in because it split on me. It's marked with the place my dad worked before I was born. He passed away about a decade ago, so the tools lasted his entire life. I don't know if the replacement one will hold up that long, but it's nice that the warranty is still honored at least.

I'd there a good breakdown of all the different BMWs?

I feel like the fact that BMW uses model numbers instead of names makes them hard for me to parse. I'd there like a YouTube video that would fill me in?

Something talking about their engines would be good too.
